It's definitely illegal so the question of fairness is moot. She did something wrong and deserved to be punished.

However, I feel she is being unfairly victimized in this forum. What she did is not much different from that of MLK, Rosa Parks, Gandhi, or any others that believed in civil disobedience. She knew that and was, I assume, willing to accept the consequences.

Of course it's fair. In fact, if anything I think she got of quite lightly.

Why would anyone think that she is not subject to the same laws as the rest of us? She was asked to leave, refused, and had to be forcibly removed by the police. If that ain't trespassing, I don't know what is!

Because she and her rabble were told to leave, and did not. She got impatient because no one would take her petitions, and so she threw them over the White House fence. Again asked to leave and did not. So, she got arrested.
She was convicted on that evidence, and the conviction stands.

You don't mess with the White House. When the Secret Service says it's time to go, you'd better go.
