I keep hearing neocons say they too want changes in the White House but that Hillary isn't the answer. They claim that their liberal friends hate her and would never vote for her if nominated.

Sounds to me that they are scared that Hillary would win so they want to discourage her from being nominated. I mean I would vote for her and know a lot of others that would too. So do you think Karl Rove is behind this latest smear campaign?

The liberal O'Donnell then went on to tell conservative co-host Elisabeth Hasselbeck to not be afraid of terrorists: "Faith or fear, that's your choice. You can walk through life believing in the goodness of the world, or walk through life afraid of anyone who thinks different than you and trying to convert them to your way of thinking. And I think that this country-" Hasselbeck: "Well, I'm a person of faith, so I, but I also believe-" O'Donnell countered: "Well, then, get away from the fear. Don't fear the terrorists. They're mothers and fathers."

I know this sounds wierd. President George Walker Bush is the, current, President in Washington. But who is the American Peoples, President? For example, I commented on 2 articles at www.washingtonpost.com {1}. Bush: Calls for Troops Drawndown Unrealistic {2}. Panel to Recommend Drawdown . I comment there regularly. I hope that people will take the time to read the articles and tell me what they feel. Our Troops need a President, so do we. Thanks Herbert West III west.herb@yahoo.com

I am wondering, after the smoking ban appears in England (around summer 2007 i think), and people will either try to give up smoking, or at least stay at home and smoke to their hearts content, obviously there will be a small drop in the sale of cigarettes, and pub attendances are sure to drop even more, so what will the government do in regards to lost tax revenue?
Will they be adding the tax on something else?
Probably.
Have they got a plan to add it on something somewhere else?
If so, what would they add it on to?

It's my understanding that Christianity is supposed to be a religion of gentleness, humility, forgiveness, and respect for life and for the earth. Those traits certainly seem to be lacking in a lot of conservatives.

I am so sick and tired of hearing that we "lost" the Iraq War or that we are "losing" the Iraq War. The last time I checked we took over that piece of crap country in two weeks and we ousted their maniacal dictator who will now, likely hang. THAT was the end of the War. This whole rebuilding of Iraq is ridiculous. Those people do not want our help. Let's leave now. America's War strategy should no longer be to try and civilize the savages. We should let the savages do what they want to do. However, when they become a threat, we should go in, take over their country and pound them back to the stone age and then LEAVE again. We can do it again, and again and again. Sooner or later, they'll get it. How do you get rid of the rats and cockroaches in New York City? You DON'T. All you can do is control the problem, so long as they don't take over and they don't go from being an annoyance to a threat.
