The liberal O'Donnell then went on to tell conservative co-host Elisabeth Hasselbeck to not be afraid of terrorists: "Faith or fear, that's your choice. You can walk through life believing in the goodness of the world, or walk through life afraid of anyone who thinks different than you and trying to convert them to your way of thinking. And I think that this country-" Hasselbeck: "Well, I'm a person of faith, so I, but I also believe-" O'Donnell countered: "Well, then, get away from the fear. Don't fear the terrorists. They're mothers and fathers."

Okay, O'Donnell's comment was stupid, thoughtless, and quite unresearched. What she said, in a nutshell, was terrorists are people too. Nobody's disagreeing with that, but Hitler was a human himself and you saw what he did. However, what you have to take into that mind of yours, if that's what you choose to call it, is that what she said is not the general opinion of the Liberals. Understand that, and maybe you'll earn some respect. Just because Rosie O'Donnel has a belief, good, bad or otherwise, doesn't mean others share it.

This may surprise you, but liberals never asked that Rosie speak for us and most of us wish she would shut up. This is small fry, for Rosie. Let's talk about that feud with Kelly Ripa, or the request that Brittany Spears moving in with her.

Rosie O'Donnell is the liberal Ann Coulter - embarrassing and full of hot air.

Why is it conservatives expect liberals to defend every stupid thing that comes out of an actor's mouth? We don't demand you either defend or condemn everything that comes out of Toby Keith or Dennis Miller. We just say to ourselves, 'that guy's an idiot' and move on with our day.

Also, I don't know your position on the Iraq war, but if you supported it at any point after 2003 when it became obvious it was a mistake, you have no right to call anyone uninformed or in denial of reality, considering how galactically wrong you turned out to be.

Rosie O'Donnel is crazy and is slipping further and further from reality every day or she is just acting.

I doubt very much that she helps shape anyone's opinion, she is an oddity, curious to look at but only from a safe distance.

Actually, I'm a liberal, and I've never been a Rosie O'Donnell fan. She's a ho-hum actress and I've never thought that she was the least bit funny.

Perfect example of how Rosie constantly, CONSTANTLY, interrupts. She is a close-minded know-it-all. I don't watch the show any more because Rosie and Behar are so bigotted. Bleeccch! They need to rename the show "THE VIEW FROM THE LEFT". Poor Elisabeth who is such a sweet, smart, and dignified woman.

Rosie O'Donnell of the "View" is a celebrity, not a political figure. Her opinion is her personal opinion.

it's a little out of context.. but here we go..... I believe what she was trying to convey is that fear is the point of terrorism.. and therefor if you fear the terrorists, they win.. meaning the best weapon against terrorism is to NOT fear them... granted she may be going a little far on this.. not fearing doesn't mean you can't prepare (be a boyscout!).. but the ideology behind it is sound, even if it is a little extreme
