Do you think we would could support our economy or would it crash? Illegals like it or not keep prices low.

So far I'm agreeing with Sortega, the same effect happened with slavery, and please note Illegals are more then just Mexicans althought they are the highest from one country.

They also keep wages low. I don't think that's a fair trade. The economy wouldn't crash though. That's a myth perpetuated by corporations that make obscene profits and would like to keep it that way. They are not stupid enough to raise prices to the point where most people couldn't buy their products.

I think if we make it hellishly difficult for illegal aliens to enter the United States from Mexico, it'll put more pressure on Mexico to reform in such a way as that they actually start taking care of all their own people, which will benefit both countries. There are illegal aliens from other countries in the US, but a very small number by comparison. Ethnicity matters far less to me than the issue of people deciding to emigrate en masse illegally.
This isn't 1805 anymore, this is 2006. The world has changed,
whether people want to recognize it or not, and illegal immigration is a big problem today. The facts are out there, research the issue for yourself, don't take my word/my opinion for the gospel truth, actually determine for yourself what you think is going on, and what some good solutions might be.
My opinion remains the same, though, that Mexico needs to do more to take care of its' own.

You are a fool if you think illegals keep prices low. When is the last time you saw a hospital bill? Y'know why it's so high? Because metro hospitals can't refuse care so for every illegal popping out a baby or getting a broken limb, we are all paying. A hospital aspirin is $4.00 because of the 100 people before you that didn't pay ANYTHING for their aspirin. You need to read up on this and you will begin to understand that illegals are VERY expensive to support. Not only that, they send the money they make back to Mexico so their families can live better. They are not putting it into our economy except for bare essentials.

It is not a good analogy to equate illegal aliens with slavery. Those who were slaves did not choose to come to this country. Illegals come knowing full well that they are breaking the law by being here. And no, I don't think our economy would crash with the illegals.

That is what is effectively known as a "scare tactic," which every economist I have read about has rebuked. Further, I suppose they said the same thing about repealing slavery and making child labor laws, and here we are with no slavery and no children slaving in the factories- and we are just fine.

The question is can Americans survive with illegals?Alot of people are getting tired of giving them a free ride while we have less benifits than they do.Dont people who hire them realize that even though they can pay them a small amount to work,they get twice as much welfare from the employers who are paying taxes,WAKE UP people. America done just fine for hundreds of years without illegals here.

I am prepared to pay more for everything or do without some things if we could just deport them all.
I don't believe that their mass deportation would make much change in retail prices though.

keep what prices low.. last time I checked it costs almost $4.00 for a gallon of milk, don't even get me started on fruits and vegetables, or meat.. it's cheaper now a days to go to McDonald's and get a double cheese burger meal instead of shopping and cooking- the only thing illegal immigrants do, is make more money for the producer... our prices are already way to high
