They don't get along because they're both full of hatered, which is what Islam teaches. Religion of peace my butt.

Think about how well the Protestants and Catholics got along in Europe right after the Reformation. Though both considered themselves Christians, they saw the others Orthodoxy as being "polluted". That is similar to the Sunni/Shi'ite split. They both believe that they are "better" Muslims than the other group for various reasons including the path of leadership back to Mohamed. When he died, his brother and son-in-law basically staked claim to being the next in line as "the Prophet" and the Sunni/Shia split began. Basically they are continuing a 1400 year old family feud.

Sunnis and Shiites are as plenty Infidel because of the fact the Christian and stick to different than what Allah has revealed and function lost the which skill of the Quran with insertions of fake identities and custom that they look upon as stronger to Quran, and that they make Quran based on custom after Allah "accomplished" or "Perfected" the deen of Islam in Quran. As for why they kill one yet another, Quran prohibits branch and the formation of sects is a rejection of Quran.

It is said that those closest fight the fiercest because they compete for the same resources. In this case the ones not getting along are the haters, and just like they hate everyone that is different they hate each other for being different.
