The setup:

At a dinner/photo op with newly elected Congresspeople, Bush asked Webb how his son (a soldier in Iraq) was doing.

Webb answered he would like to see his son home.

Bush retorted "I didn't ask you that, I asked how your son was."

Right-wing spin-meisters are accusing Webb of being "disrespectful."

How should Webb have answered?

I have been given a draft card however I never registered for the draft, nor would I. I'm not sure if I was automatically registered when I registered to vote although I was 17 at the time or perhaps when I got my drivers license, I was 16 at the time, or perhaps I'm not registered at all, and the card and letter is an attempt to weasel me into registering. I unfortunately don't remember what the letter said as it was 4 months ago and I threw it away along with the other half of the card. I want to know if I have been registered. I know my chances of getting in trouble for not registering are slim but I would rather receive any punishment than support the murder of others. If I have been registered how soon do I have to become a conscientious objector?

If for instance the two thugs who murdered the London lawyer were subjected to public slow-hanging and disembowelled, in say, trafalgar square, or were blinded and crippled and then set free, would their contemporaries be deterred or would such thugs just enhance their 'street-cred'? How much does cutting off the hands of thieves in Moslem countries deter others? Can Islam teach us something here?

Yes, I just graduated and interviewed with PWC in California. I ask the recruiter what was the best thing about working at PWC. She said that it was the consistency of the people who work there, that they were all superb in people skills. My interpretation was, they were all "snobbish", got to have an attitude of "white cheerleader" types from high school, to express that "fake" white personality is who they hire. They don't hire anyone different, they don't hire the competent autonomous hare working "chink" because "whitie" don't know how to deal with that type of personality since during school years, they never spend time having lunch with "chinks" and afraid to socialize with them for fear of 'contaminating" white popularity!! Screw the snobs at PWC. Thank god, I don't have to work for White Firms. ONly white people born in America have this arrogant attitude. White Europeans do not. Now I work for an international CPA Firm in China, and I turn down whitie, to payback!

I'm curious, I saw an article on a blog how some teenager was speeding through a gated community and didn't pull over for the private security company. They issued him $700 in fines when he crashed his car for speeding (he was doing 65 in a 30 zone)

My son left for boot camp Nov. 15 and we have not yet gotten the form letter with his address in it. How long will he be in reception before he is assigned to a unit? His MOS is 92Y-unit supply specialist. His recruiting Sgt. said that may be why he is still in processing? Does it take longer to assign recruits that are not infantry?

This phrase is starting to annoy me. Only because it's not an actual word or phrase. If anyone disagrees with me on this, please send me a defnition. Some type of link or facts would be great.

People, not parties, molest children. People, not parties murder. People, not parties should be held responsible.

I've seen a question too many stating how "Liberals do this" or "Conservatives do that". If you have a problem with policies generally held by that side, fine. But by stating that only one side or one party is the mastermind behind crimes, be it petty, sex or other, is low. Just low.

Our News in the South of the UK have been telling us all day that when Bulgaria joins the EU next month we will be importing even more organised crime than we have go already.
You cannot generalize and condemn all the potential arrivals but why are we the most popular destination and what % will be going to other EU countries?
Our Health service is stretched to the limit, housing and schools have to provide for them and the infustructure is just not in place to acomadate the amounts they say are coming.
