This phrase is starting to annoy me. Only because it's not an actual word or phrase. If anyone disagrees with me on this, please send me a defnition. Some type of link or facts would be great.

Some people say that since there is a Central, South, and North America, people in the US aren't the only Americans. It is annoying because we have been called Americans forever, and I don't know why this word is popping up now.

Typically, american citizens are called 'americans', although it is a misnomer. 'United Statesians', this is another one of those word games the pro-illegals are throwing out there. Are YOU a pro-illegal, too? I hear they're hiring! LOL

at the same time as i change into in Brazil they did not look to take care of it at the same time as i might want to assert i change into an American. they could say such issues as they're from united statesa. too. Why do you call your self an American? i might want to tell them that we are the in straight forward words usa that has the note united statesa. in the call of our usa. i'm from the united states of united statesa. so we purely say individuals.

Whoever came up with that apparently has a bug up their butt about people from the US being called Americans, as though it some how denigrates people from other countries in the Americas.

never heard of it. but i'm guessing it's used to distinguish between Americans from the united states and people from other countries in the "Americas". probably because everyone hates americans and doesn't want to be confused with us. yeah, i don't like it either.
