How do I get a visitors visa to go to France? How long would this take? How much money is it? I am having problems finding this info.

You need a short stay Schengen visa, check the embassey websites, they should give you everything you need, I'm not actually sure if US citixens need a visa, if your american, I just got one for my kazakh girlfriend, it was £25 and took about 2 weeks, the list of required documents was quite extensive, check the embassey sites for the details

If you are a US citizen visiting France for 90 days or less, you do not need a visa.
If you want a visa anyway, you must apply for a Schengen visa through the French Embassy in Washington, or the French Consulate nearest to you. Here is the Embassy web site, with all the information:
