a friend of mine borrowed money from me amounting to P3M. She issued a postdated checks, divided the amount into 4 checks. The first check is due on Dec. 15, but she asked me to extend the check. Since the check will be staled on Dec. 20, I'm worried that I won't be able to deposit the check anymore, since it is staled. What do you think is the best way for me to do, since she won't give me a new check in exchange for the old check that's going to be staled next month. I'm worried that she won't pay me.... The bank told me that check is good only for 6 months...how long would it take us if we're going to court? please help! any legal advice would be appreciated.

Snarl has been oddly quiet since the election and I am wondering if he is waiting for the heat to die down before he fesses up to what happened in South Dakota.

This bill was passed by the Congress, but not by the House. It was a win/win bill (in my opinion) because it (compromised) let immigrants and illegals a chance to work legally and eventually become citizens but also tightened immigration laws. Because it was not passed the other bill for building a 500 mile FENCE around the US/Mexico border was passed instead.
Which one are you against or for?

I have discussed this with a few people and most say something like we should leave the middle East to the middle East regardless of the consequences. I asked this the other day but I thought there might be more people here now with ideas so I wanted to ask again.

Will you protest in the city of Melbourne today and become one of the unwashed idiots? Tell me why, if you understand that is.

My friend got arrested about 29 days ago and transported to another state to go to jail and then in front of a judge because that is where the crime happened. They said he had a right to a speedy trial but i don't think they have sentenced him or whatever yet. Is there an average amount of time? I know this is a weird question, lol.

are the main targets for the "ILLEGAL" immigration concerns??? Can anyone give numbers/statistics to compare groups that are here illegally??? Isn't it a fact that Mexicans out number (by far) any other group of illegal immigrants???

I have been pondering about this for sometime and even though I am from the greatest state in the country (TEXAS!!!), I feel different from most people. I tend not to believe that we are in Iraq for oil and money but for fighting terrorism. Would any other president responded any different or would we have just said "DAMN, they got us" and forget about 9-11. How about Katrina, is it really the president's fault for certain people not getting out of harms way? I don't keep up with everything he does, mostly the things they dont really show on the news, so maybe it the acts and bills that he passes that people dont agree with. I don't feal he is as bad as people say he is but he isn't the greatest president either. I really dont want any short answers and am looking for more explanations and facts then opinions. Let me know some thing that I probably dont know. I want to see where people stand on this issue. Thanks in advance

I did lots of research regarding gay marriage and there isn't a single fabric of logical document that says it's wrong. It doesn't outlaw it in the constitution. In fact, in the constitution, it says all are equal and all are to have equal rights. So, in respect, denying someone to marry based on their orientation is ILLEGAL and goes against the laws the founding fathers planned out for the country.

If the Bible says it's wrong, then that's irrelevant. We're supposed to have separation of Church and State in this country. This is called the Establishment Clause.

So why can't gays get married? They have every right to. Why can't they?

I'm an independant, and by my observance it seems to me that conservatives and liberals have officially "waged war" on each-others beliefs.

Does the far left and far right out-and-out hate eachother now? I see no tolerance on either side for eachother or their beliefs any more.
