The elections are over. Some predicted gas prices would go down a month before the elections and then would go back up after.

I am "English" yet I have to fill out forms as British. Are we truly a "United Kingdom", I believe not. Are we money making machines having our buttons pressed by the elected. Do we have a say in how this country is run? I believed that someone elected by the people should work for the good of the people.
Are 150,000 people a year who leave these shores better off?
Should I join them?
WHERE WILL THIS COUNTRY END UP?

I saw this question posted earlier by Dom

As could be expected from the Dems and their partner in crime, Al Qaida, they are both hailing the elections as a defeat to the war effort in Iraq. Just recently Al Qaida released a tape praising the results by stating "The American people have put their feet on the right path by ... realizing their president's betrayal in supporting Israel," the terror leader said. "So they voted for something reasonable in the last elections."

Al Qaida has also said that they are winning the war in Iraq, much like the Dems.

Is anyone else concerned about the fact that Republicans have been warning that the Dems are content with losing the war and allowing Al Qaida to kill more innocent Americans? Is anyone concerned that Al Qaida is happy about the recent election results? Every other election they were pissed that Republicans kept control. Not this time.

Please read the article and respond.

Whether the people really voted for a change or many people did not vote because it was a non-presidental election..what is done is done..now we start to turn to the 2008 Election...Mitt Romney out of Massachutes has a good chance and my reasoning is this..even though he is Repubican Governor..his state is majority Democrat party....he governs with the law and does not push his personal/religous views...for if he had then Massachusets would not been able to pass Pro-gay laws...

when they assumed Clinton apparently did in investigations in the 90s with even less proof than Bush has against him now...

Bush has abramoff links, iraqi intelligence questions and more...

what crimes were the Repulbicans investigating anyway exactly in the 90s...

I'm talking about before he lied to investigators of course... which was a crime... granted... but that wasn't what the investigation was about... was it?

The real reason is that his parents have neglected and bullied him to the point where he cant stand the idea of staying with them a minute longer then he has to. With bad grades in high school, he feels his options are limited. What do you think? Is the military (right now) a good choice for him? He is intelligent, but very uneducated.

The recent decision to allow a lawyer into court wearing a mask frightens me. I have been asked to cash a cheque by someone wearing a veil. they would not remove it and I did not know if it was a man or a woman.
What next?
