I don't think it is on their list. Today they are trying to work with drug companies to lower prescription drug costs for the elderly, I also know that raising the minimum wage and working to provide affordable health care are on their list. Rolling back tax cuts is NOT on their list. They have a widely popular domestic plan they are trying to implement, but i don't remember 'welfare' being on that list. In fact, welfare hasn't been changed since 1996 when Clinton enacted time limits for welfare.

I doubt that they will do much concerning welfare. They don't have a veto proof majority, so anything would take the endorsement of the president.

I think the higher priorities is rolling back the ultra wealthy's tax cuts, and the iraqi conflict/occupation. we also need to reduce the deficit fast, becore it gets out of reach. It is nearly 9 Trillion now.

A lot was accomplished under Clinton to reduce the number of able bodied collecting welfare. It's hard to say if anything will be done in this congress considering the mess that they have to clean up.

well, maybe take measures to curb the spending of BILLIONS of taxpayers dollars on CORPORATE WELFARE.

it never ceases to amaze me how some folks rage, whine and complain that a mother with kids gets some meager assistance from the government but don't mind at all that multi billion dollar mega corporations oink up to the government trough for free money as their CEOs float around on multi million dollar golden parachutes.

They definatelely wont be doing anything to try to motivate people to get off their a*s and take care of themselves. Liberals think everyone NEEDS the government to take care of them. That is their biggest problem.

Everyone will be given a free handout, and no one will have to work, ever. The nation's industries and business will all come under the umbrella of state ownership, and will exclusively employ illegal aliens. Armageddon will quickly follow. The righteous and the damned will be presorted by the R and D receipts issued from the mouth of the demon Diebold.
