I live in San Antonio, Texas. Some of our elected officials recently went to Phoenix, AZ to check out a "Tent City" they have in their prison system.

The inmates live in tents, No A/C, use Port-o-potties, they get two meals a day, brunch and dinner, not real good food, No television, they rough it.

They say it is curtailing second offenses. In San Antonio, they are looking at it because they believe, and I agree, that they are having people commit crimes so they can be put back in the system, have a roof over their heads, 3 meals a day.

I think it would be great. Why should I work hard every day to keep a roof over my head, feed my family, etc. and these criminals have it better than me. I don't think it's cruel either.

Of course some of these newly elected Democrats (Bleeding Heart Liberals) would not approve.

Do you think it is appropriate for the President of the US to tell Americans that he is "disappointed with the outcome of the election" Do you think he should have publicly supported any outcome, whether or not he was personally disappointed

These are all quotes from different republicans on Y!A who had previously criticized democrats for declaring voting fraud:

Realist said this (it might not seem like it, but he IS a republican and used sarcasm): “What a beautiful thing!! We Dems couldn't have done it without the repubs turning to our side. Woo HOO”

Cajun Billy: “If it was a fair fight you would still be at the bottom of the food chain. But you lie to people and smear honest God fearing people and cheat in everything that you do. It is a shame that so many people can be fooled by your foul tongue.”

Why do you feel like so much emphasis is being put on Mexicans as opposed to other immigrants? Isn't the US supposed to be about the whole melting pot? I understand that if they are here illegally then there should be some regulations, but if thery are working and adding to the US economy how is that a bad thing? I just believe that each and every case is different. Do you know an immigrant that is going through a difficult time? How do you support them through it?

Seriously, do you think Dems could fix Iraq in a short enough time so that Republicans do not regain public support by more Bush scare tactics.

although he was doing a terrible job Bush said he wasn't going anywhere. since the dems took over congress was this his way of trying to appease the dems. and if the dems lost the elections isn't it true that Rumsfeld would still be a puppet for Bush?
doesn't that tell the repugs that the war is a lie?
