"Every time we do something you tell me America will do this and will do that . . . I want to tell you something very clear: Don't worry about American pressure on Israel. We the Jewish people, control America and the Americans know it."

Israeli Prime Minister, Ariel Sharon, October 3, 2001, speaking to Shimon Peres, as reported on Kol Yisrael radio.

So what they're different from you, get over it. Why can't you just let them live their life while you live your life? You don't have to be friends with them if you don't want to but why do you want to deny them the unalienable right of "the pursuit of happiness"?

Why are they so full of hate for gays/ lesbians? Maybe they don't know any???

Please enlighten me.

I am an Indian and since I do not know anything about criminal procedures, I would ask the reader for help. Suppose while riding a bicycle, a scooterist collides me from behind and I catch him. I want to take him to the nearest police station which is far away (or suppose even I do not know where the police station is). My bicycle is damaged and I have (fortunately) suffered a little only. Now how do I take that person to the police station? by catching hold of his hands? or are there other ways? or instead police will arrive if I make a call at the station after getting the number somehow? I need compensation for my bicycle. How to get that? What about eye-witneses people? I will have to request people to go with me to the police station? What if no one agree to go? and finally suppose the police officer is not willing to accept the case then what do I do and what happens to the scooterist? he will leave? sorry for asking so many questions.

Hi all,

I am a recent graduate of a major university with a degree in engineering. I am about six months into a career in consulting, and certainly enjoy the engineering profession. But I have found myself wanting to serve my country and do something more exciting while I am still young. Enter, the Navy.

My main concern in doing this is the toll it will take on my wife. I realize that my absence is a "necessary evil" of the armed forces, and I would like to obtain a realistic impression of how much I will be away.

I am looking to become an officer, and find myself initially interested in working with submarines. But I am open to suggestions.

Thanks alot,

Chase

The UN has been doing plenty lately, but has it done enough or is there a lot more that it can do?
Has it actually lived up to expectations and is it performing the way it should? Or should it shape up?

If you look at America's past it seems that great men have always arisen in times of conflict. Washington and the founders during the revolution. Abraham Lincoln during the Civil War and the end of Slavery, Wilson and Roosevelt during the World Wars. Can you truly compare Bush to these men or did they incur just as much opposition as he is now.

America's politics also seemed mired in corruption after the 1820s as career politicans begin to emerge in Clay and van Burin and the founding of the Democratic and Whig parties.

We believe that either our country is at its greatest or on the edge of destruction but is either side true. It seems to me that perhaps America was its darkest hour during the Civil War as the nation literally broke apart.

Our we living in extrodinary times or is that simply our egos coming to the forefront. That we want to believe we are special and therefore exagerate the events of today or are we truly in perilous times and on the brink of eradication.

and in the US, you can be convicted of horrendous crimes and sit in a jail cell, fed daily, get lots of recreation and excersize for 10 -20 years until you gently fall asleep with a needle prick! Many of us would love the luxury of all that expense paid to us and never have to worry about a thing....i dont think many see that as punishment....if you say you will be hanged in 60 days, THAT would scare me.....how can hanging be considered "cruel and unusual" in our eyes....for the murder of hundereds, the torture Saddam commited....hanging him in the eyes of many Americans is CRUEL??? NO!.....Is it UNUSUAL? NO! .....The constiution was written when whippings (torture) was common! it was neither cruel or unusual.....now we have changed the way we interpret it......that is not acceptable UNLESS we can vote in our state to have a true definition of cruel and unusual.....Cut off a finger of a convicted shoplifter and see how much our crime rate drops! The money we save, a safer US

I had a severe falling out with my ex-landlord, and in my best interest i removed myself from the situation. However one of the things i did wrong on accident, was ONE (out of many i had written over the years) check bounced for rent of August. He told me would be evicted if i didnt come up with the money, i knew i wasnt going to be able to, so i just evicted myself. He decided to press criminal charges for a bounced check. it was for 650 dollars. I got pulled over for a traffic violation and was arrested, i posted 1,500 PR bail and have a court date for the 6th of december. The cop that arrested me told me this was only a Class B misdemeanor and im not looking at jail time, most likely just financial restitution for the landlord. Im not convinced of this however, as getting cuffed and booked makes this whole situation seem more serious. i have never bounced a check before, and i have no criminal record. My question is, will i have to have the money i owe there on the day of court?

I am neither happy about it or sad, just no feeling about it at all. I just can't bring myself to get happy about the death of another person no matter how vile a person he is. I don't understand why so many Americans are happy...Saddam Hussein isn't the one that bombed the USA after all.
