Depends where you work, but it isn't a federal holiday. Some buisness choose to open late, close early, not open, give extended lunch breaks or other things that would try to get the employee to vote. People aren't going to vote either way though and working is simply the excuse they give.

No, but individuals do receive (supposed to) time off with pay to vote. Unlike so many countries, it doesn't take all that long to get to a polling place, or to vote, so there is no need to make it a non-productive day for the economy.

NO, IT IS A NORMAL WORKING DAY.
FOR ME IT IS A NONWORKING DAY BECAUSE AFTER 36 YEARS OF SERVICE, I GOT FIRED FOR MEDICAL REASONS WHICH INCURRED FROM AN ACCIDENT AT WORK.
