This question is premature and a dead horse.
It has been posed only about hundred times in the last few weeks already, a neat feature on this site is the ability to "search for questions" so that you do not beat a dead horse to death.
Below are just a few links of this question already asked and hashed out. There are more, many more like it, just search it.
I will repeat myself again, though in this one valid point. Few if any thought or considered Bush in 1998 as a serious or even possible canidate, two years before the election in 2000. Virtually everyone one was wrong 1998, and virtually everyone is wrong now. There are going to be many surprise between now and 2008 that will affect the possibilities. It is wise thing I have discoverd, after seeing many elections, not to waste your energy now on such things. One can not tell the fortitude , character, and ability this early on. Let the pundits and primary canidates
slug it out for the next 18 mos and then you may have a statistical chance to have a clue who the next president could, would, or should be, until then it is just nonsense and a waste of time.

I'm not sure they have all made their announcements yet, but I'm sure there will be a few surprises. Not surprising to me would be Democratic Senators John Kerry, Joseph Biden, Howard Dean, Hillary Clinton and Joe Lieberman; Republican Senator John McCain, Governor Jeb Bush, and/or Secretary of State Condolezza Rice, but I'm not sure who exactly is in the running for sure yet. I hope whomever it is....and whomever is ultimately elected will place the best interest of ALL the citizens of this nation first and stop selling our country's national sovereignty and security in "piece meal" to foreign interests and rule.
Terrorists are counting on division of the will of this nations citizens as much as they are other opportunities to bring harm to us. The dangers are real and imminent as they have demonstrated and professed to carry these plans out, if given the opportunity. Whomever is elected will have to unify this nation and provide the leadership necessary to accomplish many goals. That will be difficult, but it is achievable.

Eliot Spitzer, New York Attorney General.
Remember, the "war" with terrorists came from mostly Saudi citizens...and a few from the United Arab Emirates. Their leadership was in Afghanistan. That is where the war should be fought.

I think we would be doing the opposite! They have their own government and they don't want us there! We are responsible for there civil war, and the making of many new terrorist!
If you want MORE terrorist, just stay there. We aren't doing much about the others! Where is Osama bi Laden!
We, by our actions, are spawning terrorist, and Iraq's civil war!

the leading candidates are Borak Obama (sp?) and Hillary Clinton and John McCain. Personally, I think it's high time to have a female president, and I think Hillary would be an excellent choice, however, I am very disappointed in her fervent pro-war stance in Iraq.

I would love to see Barack Obama as our next president, I think he is the only one who has the charisma, and brains to run this country and to pull us back to the top, where we need to be, and have the international community back in our side, unlike this president which has made so many enemies to the us.

Honestly, regardless of who is running or plans to run, we need someone in office to revert their focus onto what is truly important...our country's economic state. Terrorism can be fought right here with a firm and vigilant stance without sacrificing billions of dollars and thousands of our own soldiers in another country.

I hope it will be McCain, and there is no way to just pull out of Iraq.
Hillary would be a disaster. Condi Rice would be a good choice.
