I keep seeing their campaign tv adds, pretending to be neutral saying "vote for the candidate, not their party".... In which case wouldn't the best lier win?.. and what about their support of republican's prescription drug program?.. Shouldn't the seniors be angry at the aarp's slant towards the party that takes from them and gives to the pharmaceutical companies?.. You already know my opinion, both parties have a political agenda and I don't think much of campaign promises, so shouldn't the elections be which political party do you chose?....(the main question: what do you think of the aarp and are they trying to manipulate the elections)

In Arizona they are proposing a lottery to encourage people to vote. Every person who votes is automatically entered into a millon dollar lottery.
I think it's bad. It will just bring uninformed voters to the polls who don't know or don't care about what or who they're voting about, and are just looking at a chance for free money.

Agree or disagree?

I'm not sure where to find the law that this would fit under but is it possible for some one to buy a book, ship it to another persons residence and then in turn have that person cut up the book and scan pages and email them to the person who purchased the book?

Why do some people in the U.S think that just because an Atomic bomb worked on Japan it will work on everyone?Japan only
gave up because they could not watch their people suffer like that.Their military was still a little capable enough to pull the war
to another 2 years or so.Then once their military is defeated they would use rebels like in Iraq currently.But is it not stuiped when some patriots think that they can end a war like in Japan by simply nuking nuking a country.They have become arrogant with their victory over Japan.Jut think a nuclear bomb dropped on Tehran
or Pyongyang and a few hundred thousands die.Do you really think those countries will sign a peace treaty and give up?
Nope.Their soldeirs will spread out and attack U.S allies and
become gurrilla's in a war torn radio active nation which was once their home.They won't give up.Kim Jong Il already said that he would take the world with him or in other words cause as much damage as possible to the U.S before losing.

i'd like to know these lobby orgs. to implement a plan to consolidate all anti-prohibition orgs. into one cohesive unit . do you think these groups have fallen into the same trap most groups do i.e. fighting for the top spot so they can raise more money for themselves and party in d.c. for as many years as keith stroup has without accomplishing very much. is it true that we can win in a single state first? how about a full frontal attack in hawaii because it was first to legalize medical pot and has suffered the ice epidemic as a direct result of the drug war..why can't cnn. arrange a debate with our learned drug czar? does any body even know his name?

The Whole Persian Gulf War only cost us $8 Billion Dollars. Primarily because other countries that were part of the coalition footed over 80% of the cost. By going it alone in Iraq, we are paying this hefty price by ourselves.....

Isn't that lack of comprehension greatly from a lack of education; in which those people should be serving in our military to get the education that they need.

Then some of the soldiers proved their stupidity with their comment; while there are many soldiers saying, "If it weren't for the education that I need which the military offers, I wouldn't be in this war zone." That is the #1 recruitment incentive.

It's important that Americans stop going along with the republicans' lies; it is your children, your husbands, wives, family members, and you that will suffer the consequences of not excercising good judgement and influence.

Smarten up, we shouldn't need so many soldier, and the democrates are trying to fix this atrocious situaltion. Both, in education and getting our soldiers out of harms way!

Three cheers for our soldiers; as dumb as you may be we want you safe.

I just posted the following link;

http://www.sciencemag.org/cgi/content/full/306/5702/1686

It describes a systematic study of ALL published research by climatologists in the field of climate change for a TEN year period. They wanted to know how many of the 928 papers disagreed with an international statement as follows;

"the consensus of scientific opinion is that Earth's climate is being affected by human activities: "Human activities ... are modifying the concentration of atmospheric constituents ... that absorb or scatter radiant energy. ... [M]ost of the observed warming over the last 50 years is likely to have been due to the increase in greenhouse gas concentrations"

They found ZERO out of 928 papers disagreed. When I posted it conservatives said; http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index;_ylt=AkyrC7JZ8DcRb.HCP5Rd0Frsy6IX?qid=20061102112730AAFtN9W

Republican and Democrat alike?
I don't think it will last forever, but Republicans saying they are the morality party is not the picture most Americans see. The Democrats might actually have to seek a more moderate platform because a moderate Republican voting Democrat isn't so rediculous anymore. The end result could, hopefully, help heal some wounds, marginalize extremists and get Americans to see themselves as American and not Republican or Democrat as much as they have in recent years. Ok...you can blast me now.

Is it because Democrats know they aren't very popular amongst honest, law-abiding people? I guess they need to look for votes somewhere. Too bad they choose criminals instead of real Americans. Only a liberal mind could rationalize this "Felon's Suffrage" movement.
