Not if you are looking for a worse job than the one you have now! Otherwise, it is in bad taste.

Not at all. I have done it. Think of all the other things people do at work (especially on the pc). Updating your resume certainly is a better use of your time. Trying to better yourself is never a bad thing.

You do not honestly believe that ethics should come into play when it comes to getting rid of a go-nowhere-dead-end job that can't even pay the bills let alone get you some fine booty...do you? And what about the beer? Are you expected to drink domestic **** the rest of your life? C'mon man, use your time at work for something usefull, like getting a new job! Or playing video games...

Where else would I do it. It involves work just as much as anything. Every few years they ask us for an updated resume for our personnel file anyway.

I'll go you one better. I have my current boss write it for me. My boss says, "you could be doing a better job!" I say, "Great! Could you write out what you want me to do?" He writes it out like this. "The projects should be done under budget and on time." I then change that to: "The project was done under budget and on time." My resume is done!

It's totally immoral! You're headed straight to hell!
Actually, I know a guy who got busted last week for doing a phone interview with a potential employer at his current job. ⺠If they bust you, I think it's a great way to say "F you" if you're headed out the door anyway.

No. I do this all the time. The printer is better than the one I have at home, and there's higher cotton content in the paper at work.
