Isn't that lack of comprehension greatly from a lack of education; in which those people should be serving in our military to get the education that they need.
Then some of the soldiers proved their stupidity with their comment; while there are many soldiers saying, "If it weren't for the education that I need which the military offers, I wouldn't be in this war zone." That is the #1 recruitment incentive.
It's important that Americans stop going along with the republicans' lies; it is your children, your husbands, wives, family members, and you that will suffer the consequences of not excercising good judgement and influence.
Smarten up, we shouldn't need so many soldier, and the democrates are trying to fix this atrocious situaltion. Both, in education and getting our soldiers out of harms way!
Three cheers for our soldiers; as dumb as you may be we want you safe.

Everything John Kerry says seems to be "taken out of context". All John Kerry has to say is "it was Bush , I meant" and everything is forgiven by you.
Why not a plain and simple apology - of "I misspoke - I'm sorry."
Why the long drawn out it was this wording and not this wording and I meant Bush and not the troops and ... whatever .
John Kerry isn't perfect - no man is .
The military has very intelligent members that have put their education on hold to serve. There are many currently in Iraq and around the world fighting while going to college on line. Military service member see serving as a privilege. All they ask is to not be the floor-mat you wipe your feet on. Why is you support and compassion so hard to give them? They protect this country so you can whine and bash and scream about everything under the sun.

You're right. Those sneaky Republicans took an old Addams Family clip and colorized it. Then they flawlessly sync'd poor John Kerry's voice in using a word here and a word there from his previous speeches. Then, those sneaky Republicans rearranged those words of Kerry's UNENDING SUPPORT for the military into a "botched joke" just to make the poor democrats look bad.
Boy, those Republicans are a sneaky bunch.

Kerry has made to many mistakes to be considered accidental or misunderstood, was his testimony at the senate hearings where he accused the Americans of copying Genghis khan a accident also? and he has switched his position so many times as he thinks Americas is , how doe''s anyone know where he stands, it would make more sense to me to make a stand and if you are wrong tell the people why you thought you were right, Pres, Reagan did and the people loved and forgave him of his blunders , after all the people want a human for president , and every one blunders , But we don't haft to lie about it , the people have had enough lies , lets try to get some truth and I don't feel Kerry is capable of the truth

It's hard to believe that as polished a speaker as John F. Kerry is, he'd make THAT big of a mistake.
Besides, calling Bush "Dumb" or Uneducated" is something Kerry would never do, since Bush had a higher GPA in college and scored higher on his military aptitude tests!

that was a rediculous statement and i think you are the one in need of some serious education and better judgement! i hope you realize how badly you just criticized the men and women who are fighting for YOUR freedom of speech! being a soldier does not mean that you have a lack of education. it only means that you have a willingness to fight for what you believe in and the courage to do something that most wont...like you! so do us all a favor and dont say that "three cheers" crap only to scrutinize them in the end. and by the way. there is nothing twisted about us republicans....whats twisted is the way that you democrats think....thats what has everyone in an uproar...not us.

There should be a site on the internet somewhere where you can find the gaffs made by not only our idiot President but by all Politicians. I hope you find it too, it will alter your outlook on what Politicians say on TV, radio and other public places when they don't remember or actually know what they are saying in the first place. Sort of like Dan Quayle saying potato is spelled potatoe.

The problem is that he has a history of bashing the military. He did it when he got home from Vietnam, he did by voting against the funds needed to equip them correctly. A pattern of behavior can't be excused by "botching a joke".
Our soldiers are not dumb, they are professionals. They VOLUNTEERED to do what they do, and helping them with their education makes them better soldiers. Nobody is calling you dumb for doing whatever your profession is.....although reading your question, I am questioning your basic grammar & vocubulary skills.

you sound just like a typical democrat. calling us liars, and our soldiers dumb. that's all democrats do, is insult. mainly because that's all they CAN do. they have nothing else. a lot of my family were in the military and for you to sit there and say our souldiers are dumb offends me. just like Kerry offended our military. im glad our country has kept a republican office and for the safety and well being of our country i hope we keep a republican in office. i will not stoop to your level and insult you, but i will ask you to open your eyes and see how much democrats don't care about who they offend, as long as it benefits them. our military and service men and women deserve an apology, regardless of what you think or say. it was still offensive.

Kerry's original speech did not match what he said. He worded himself incorrectly. Look at this for his original speech, which CLEARLY discredits the Bush Administration.
