"I know someone..." who's been in the US Army for just over a year. They've already lost their rank once and received numberous bad counseling statements. Is it too late to get a discharge based on failure to adapt? How could they get one? How bad would it look when they try to get a civilian job? What about a government job?

Wage increases cause increased inflation and rising unemployment. This negates the effects of the wage increase, as goods become more expensive and fewer people have jobs.

I'd hate to see the lending rates caused by the rising inflation that would result from an increase in inflation. People and businesses wouldn't be able to borrow money unless it was at exorbitant rates. This would slow down the economy.

I'd hate to see the growth in unemployment caused by firms' inability to hire workers.

Do these people know anything about economics?

Alright, I hope someone can help me. I'm asking this question for a friend. She's german and is engaged to an american. They're about to get married and they both want to live here in the US. Does anybody know if it's easier to get married in germany and come back to the US to do the immigration stuff or is it easier and faster to do it all here?
I'm german too and got married here in the US and it took me less than half a year to get my green card. But I have no idea how it works if they'd marry in germany and then come back. Her concern is about work. She wants to work asap and can't until she has her work permit.
I hope someone can give me/her some useful advice. (Hopefully someone with experience about it)
