Are Mexicans a bad influence on our culture? What should we do about them? Can you compare their situation to the African american?

No but the US would be better off without ILLEGAL Mexicans
The US looses $5 Billion each year to Illegal Immigrants sending money back to Mexico... And that's JUST in Texas... In Southern California its $25 Billion... It's destroying the US economy
No... this situation does not compare in the least to the AA community

No to your first question, I dont think legal Mexicans are a worse influence on our culture than African Americans because if both are here legally, then what is the difference between the two other than skin color. If on one hand you have an African American whom spends his life committing crimes and on the other you have a law abiding legal Mexican who spends his life doing good for his family and his community, which one is a worse influence on our culture?? Be real man! Good Day Doctor!!

I think Hispanics are a good influence on our culture. The race of Hispanics that is, I'm not talking about illegal immigrants. They help our economy, and carry jobs the middle-class don't want to do, and they do them well. They see the opportunities that we don't. You have to admire them for that. I do think that they, as a race, have to deal with a lot of things African-Americans have dealt with in the the past, and still today. The main difference being that African-Americans were brought here unwillingly, and Hispanics come here themselves. Illegal immigration is a whole other issue that has nothing to do with race.

No!! It's not the mexicans or blacks, it's just INDIVIDUALS of all races and nationalities that r skrewing up our country. If we got rid of all the blacks and mexicans, it would be the same, cuz the rest of the races would be doing the same things. Blacks and Mexicans r basically in the same position, they both r just being taken 4 granted =/. We shouldn't do anything, whatever happens happens. US citizens HAVE NO CULTURE!! We're a melting pot our culture is what each race/nationality contributes. Mexicans and blacks are just a part of that contribution whether it's good or bad =) Deal wif it, cuz they ain't going no where. lol :D. Wow, a racists black person, ur setting a great example for children like me (im 12...hehe)

Of course we would. But by that I mean someone that wants to live in America and pledge their allegiance to Mexico. We want Americans. Americans can be any color and from any part of the globe. All we ask is that you adopt American culture and values as your own. Out of many, one. You don't parade through the streets with Mexican flags shouting Viva Mexico. If you want to be a Mexican then, by all means, move to Mexico because that's where they live. If you want to be an American then act like one.

I find the Mexican people wonderful! I love the culture, for the most part..
This is what America is better off without - ILLEGAL aliens/immigrants. It's not about color of skin, which country the people came from.. it's the fact that they are here, and came here, illegally. Please, these are the people we would be better off without.
Why can't anyone ever just refer to themselves as American anymore!

After some court decisions that the African-American community considered unfair, there were riots in major cities and they destroyed millions of dollars worth of property and would try and beat up any non-black they could get their hands on. To this, my white friends would say they should all be shipped back to Africa. Prejudice and hate are ugly no matter which direction its coming from.

The Mexican Culture here in the U.S. is a huge part of who we are.
Not to mention that the U.S. is nothing but a mixture of different cultures...If we weren't such a melting pot, we wouldn't be the amazing nation that we are.
We would, however, be better off if all of the immigrants who come here were legal. We would then be enforcing the laws that we wrote. We would then be able to stand up straight, and look other countries in the eye, so to speak, as everyone would know that we mean what we say and we say what we mean.

Hi, how about that, a black racist!! My godson is half Hispanic, he is 27 years old, married with a child and one on the way. He carries health insurance on his family, he has a bachelors degree in nursing. He owns 50 acres of land, a three bedroom home, two paid vehicles. He speaks three languages. He has worked since he was 15 years old, paid his way through college, never took a student loan, or a grant. Hey, we live in MS, don't go there buddy. You really don't want to make that comparison in some places.

Black Americans are great. They helped build a mighty nation. And no, they cannot be compared with you know who's.
