For example blatant lies are allowed in election campaigns without any need for solid evidence. Hard line christian groups influence political decisions. Big business influences political decisions. For example respected scientific research accepted worldwide on global warming is rejected by American government as unproven and damaging to American economy.
What is going wrong in America? How did it get that way and will it ever recover?

Do You Really Have Respect For Our Enlisted?

No! I don't understand Kerry's remarks. If they were a mistake, then they were a mistake that should never have been made by a man in his position or who was afforded the level of education he received. I have no respect for Kerry on the matter of his "botched joke."

On the contrary, I have far more respect for a person who recognizes that, for whatever reason, their circumstances and or their abilities (financial or otherwise) are not going to afford them the level of success through our education system that was afforded by the likes of Kerry.

It takes a lot of COURAGE and WISDOM to realize that joining the military and laying your life on the line for your country might very well be the only way you have a chance in this world.

So there are enlisted who change oil, clean tires and chip paint. There are enlisted who flip eggs and scrub pots and pans. There are amo runners and hole diggers.

I'm not suggesting they did, but considering the money spent on advertising that no one takes much notice of, to get the same political capital by standard means would be pretty expensive.

Does it damage a wifes credibility to lie in court about her husband. She said she was never allowed to be alone(like a prisoner) and he abused her. But she went to China with her husband after that, traveled alone in China leaving her husband in her familys house AND RETURNED TO THE HOUSE IN THE USA WITH HER HUSBAND. Why did she return if she was abused, she could have stayed in China? Is her story believable?

After all, Bush says we want to get out of there as soon as possible. So why doesn't he come out and promise that we aren't/won't build any permanent bases? Is he sending mixed signals which is energizing the jihadists to fight the Americans??
