Jenny, it's all "smoke and mirror" with the criminal republicans. They really don't care what Kerry said, the cons just want to deflect, minimize, blame and project, anything but take personal responsibility. Do you see the multiple profilers?, it's said isn't it?

Actually, Jenny, with all due respect, the military IS upset with Senator Kerry's remarks. My husband, AND all our friends, are positively seething...especially the friends who have BEEN to Iraq.
They don't feel they were lied to, and they're not just protecting pipelines. Actually, there's been very little of that. Most of them no longer protect the pipelines, because the IRAQIS are doing that.
Not that any of this will make any difference to you. Your mind is made up, and now you're probably going to say that I'm another "propagandist", because that would be a lot easier than listening to what I (or anyone ELSE who disagrees with you, no matter HOW respectfully, for that matter) have to say.
I don't know where you get your news, but I get MINE from soldiers who have been down range. I'll believe them over you, thank you.
But it was a pretty good question, even if it does show how misinformed you are.

As a military guy I can tell you that we have been let down for a long time by Democrats. I am socially very liberal but when it comes to defense, Democrats destroy our military and it's more than I can stand to watch. They cut funding, cut pay, cut our numbers, etc..
John Kerry just expressed what a lot of liberals feel - the military is a necessary evil that they would rather not think about.
And yes, Jenny is hot.

i do no longer think of John Kerry has released his DD214, which might make all of his militia information available to whoever needed to learn them. Nor do i think of he intends to, because of the fact he likes to magnify his stories in Vietnam if no longer lie approximately them.

Back door draft--an invention of the left. Turn off NPR and Air America for a day to clear your head.

My time in the military was the best time of my life. Coming home to the real idiots in America made me want to go back. I had more intelligent conversations in soggy foxholes over cold gritty coffee than I could ever have in any college classroom or a Starbucks.

The military could care less about Kerry. Sand fleas are much more a problem. I was in El Salvador in the 80's while Kerry was visiting communist leaders in Nicaragua. I didn't waste any emotions on him then, and now that I look back, I realize that as hard as he has tried to negatively--for 25 years, he really has never effected my life. He has only shown how ineffective he really is. He is nothing but a private joke between himself and his communist monitor.

I noticed you used an O'Reilly metaphor. The military could certainly be upset with Kerry even IF all of your claims in this question were true, which, of course, they are not.

I think Kerry was having a flashback. During the Vietnam War, there was a draft. If young men of draft age flunked out of school, they lost their deferments and were liable to be drafted and sent to war.

That is not the case now, so suggesting that studying hard would somehow prevent students from being "stuck in Iraq," makes no sense. It was his way of being elitist and snotty. Unfortunately, he came out looking like a complete fool and he does not have the grace to make a full and appropriate apology to those who were offended.

Men and women who volunteered to serve in the armed forces deserve more respect and gratitude from a senator of the United States.

They know that if they had the courage to join they would be upset, so they get to be upset by proxy.
