If so, have you ever received responses back? And if you have been on the receiving end of military mail did it make you feel better?

I have fallen out with my dad, and although I'm not stopping him seeing my kids (aged 1 and 4), he has threatened to see a solicitor because I told him I was busy on the two times he's asked to see them...which I was, I would NEVER use my children to get at anyone

He then text me saying he was going to get social services to pay me a visit, which has obviously upset me. I know I have nothing to worry about, but I don't want my children having social workers or being on registers, so I'm absolutely disgusted that he'd stoop this low.

Just to fill you in, he was with my mum til I was 7, he beat us both and I saw him semi-regularly after they split, up until I was 13, when he chose his new girlfriend over me because I didn't like her. He got back in contact with me when he found out I was pregnant when I was 21 and we've been in contact since...but only because I thought it would be nice for my kids, we never got close as I still resent him.

So can he take me to court?

Recently Bush said, "If I did not think our mission in Iraq was vital to America's security, I'd bring our troops home tomorrow.'' In otherwords, he doesn't care about the Iraqis. He could care less if they kill themselves in a civil war so long as that would not effect American security. With that attitude is it any wonder things are going to hell in a handbasket in Iraq?

I would wear a cape and tights, fly around the world fighting crime, ***** slapping drug addicts and gays with my giant Bible. Telling them to choose Jesus and stop being so unmoral. I'll walk around with a M-16. And telling anyone that opposes me to get out of my face because they are stupid and I'm right (literally). Do you think I should do it?

I mean, you only spend about 13 years in pre-collegiate education. But as you live your life past that point, you pay for education through your taxes over the rest of your life. How long would you really have to be in school to actually make that "free education" worth paying for for the rest of your life? The government claims to require approx. $10,000-15,000 per child, per year. But how much does a private, higher-quality education cost a person?

I like the recent idea of vouchers.Where's the problem in that? At least then, the government would have someone to compete against and would make the education process more formidable.

For all prior service personnel, hi, i am recently out of the navy for prt (physical readiness test)failure, which means I failed the run portion of the test. However I was given an Honorable discharge but an RE-4 code. I would like to join the coast guard, but I'm not sure if they would take me with this code. Is it possible they will. I've never had any njp's or been to captain's mast. Serious answers please and don't tell me to speak with a recruiter about it.

If the Dems claim to be the party of fiscal responsibility and also claim that they want to raise taxes on "the rich", is it then true that they wish to increase spending and are, in fact, not "the party of fiscal responsibility" but instead the same old Tax-and-Spend Dems that we've come to know and love so well?

Not yet up to speed on who's paying taxes in the US? This page shows it as well as any: http://www.allegromedia.com/sugi/taxes

Academic and corporate structures determine merit. Would similar systems adopted along the lines of meritocracy over money politics and demagogues better serve the people, if at all?

(Perhaps a broadly defined meritocracy based on a tabled standard(s) from authoritative sources, subject to routine reviews, adjusted reactively and prospectively.)

Open discussion.

Americans have long speculated that Republicans hate the middle class and poor, but love the rich. The head of the small business owners department claims that "Bush and the Republicans have given out 75% of small business funding to big business like Boeing, Pepsi, Ford and a few hundred other".

These small business owners claim that Bush and the Republicans have given less money each year to small businesses. This association claims that "Bush and the Republicans openly admit that they are working to choke out the small business association".

Now polls done by pollsters including the conservative Republican fox news show huge numbers of middle class Americans feel like Bush and the Republicans are actually trying to eliminate the middle class.

The middle class in this country have said that they have been screwed by Republicans, in favor for the rich http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20061027/ap_on_el_ge/election_ap_poll

Are Republicans looking to destroy the middle class?
