Americans have long speculated that Republicans hate the middle class and poor, but love the rich. The head of the small business owners department claims that "Bush and the Republicans have given out 75% of small business funding to big business like Boeing, Pepsi, Ford and a few hundred other".

These small business owners claim that Bush and the Republicans have given less money each year to small businesses. This association claims that "Bush and the Republicans openly admit that they are working to choke out the small business association".

Now polls done by pollsters including the conservative Republican fox news show huge numbers of middle class Americans feel like Bush and the Republicans are actually trying to eliminate the middle class.

The middle class in this country have said that they have been screwed by Republicans, in favor for the rich http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20061027/ap_on_el_ge/election_ap_poll

Ummm, I hate to burst your little bubble, but, the REPUBLICANS ARE THE WORKING CLASS, who are sick and tired of supporting the dead beats & losers who refuse to work, & want to live for free!

A poll can show any result according to how the questions are phased. Anyone can take a quotation out of content and try to make you believe that this is the way this person feels. Do I believe that republicans are trying to destroy the middle class. No. I believe that the republicans are trying to get more lower income people into the middle class by insisting that in order to get welfare, etc a person must either go to school or take a job. I believe that the republicans share my believe that we should GIVE A HAND UP NOT A HAND OUT. The democrats believe that welfare is an entitlement, not a privelege and that if you go on welfare, you should not have to try to get off it. I believe that this is wrong, it destroys the "soul" of the receipient and makes the working class angry and have comtemp for the person who needs help

Not really worth an answer. Don't you think that people making 250-350k a year can afford 4% more in taxes, (Which is what is proposed) then people making 25-50k a year? And if you call living on 10 acres and in a 350k house modest, I'd like to see your definition of lavish. Most of us "Middle" class live on a 1/4 acre and barely have 1200 square feet of a house. I don't really call that living outside of our means. But I guess it is just perspective.

The republicans ARE the middle class. Most of them work hard at their jobs and businesses every day.

What middle class, are you looking for a class war? If so you are too late, its already rich, poor and soon-to-be poorer now that housing values have fallen, Detroit wants to know why its cars aren't selling? Its because cars now cost what a house cost thirty years ago. Who knows what it will be like if this garbage continues, with government approval of interest rate of 29 % and higher, those used to be what you got from Tony the Shylock and now its legal for banks and credit cards. This administrations disdain for the common man is going to be legendary.

That would really go against what conservatives really stand for as one of our biggest bases. I find this highly unlikely. Sounds like desperate media lies again. Liberals just love to create divides between people and one of their old trusty tools is class envy. It has nothing to do with anything else plain and simple. It is a tactic to divide so we have to look to government to make things fair.

wow, another poll of 1000 people, that somehow represents 300 million people.

I am certainly not rich, and I am very much aware that the republicans are the better choice, for middle class, and lower class WORKING people.
