Who should have the right to determine immigration policy?

Should it be the people currently living in the target area? Should it only be the citizens living in the target area? Should immigrants have the right to freely go anywhere they please? Should the country where the immigrants are from have a say?

I do, so many of the issues I hear them making a big deal about, just don't matter to me, such as the huge deal over steriod use, a stupid amendment to defend marriage, and so many other issues

I always understood that one needed health insurance in the US, due to lack of government funding. Is this not the case?

my sister is executrix of my mothers estate. How do i know what were all of my mothers assets? She has sold the house and sent me a personal check for half of the house. My brother in law has rights of survivorship for mutual funds my mother and he shared. I understand i would not succeed in contesting but do i have the right to know what they are? There are more financial accounts however my sister says that they are not part of the estate. She says my mother wrote a letter to her dictating what was to be in the estate.....the will itself is vague. Shouldn't i have a copy of this letter?

here is an example...You own a home and a stranger comes in the back door and says i own part of this house You must provide and pay for health care and schools for my kids while I stay here and do whatever it is i want. I Demand that you agree to this because I just want a better life for myslef and my kids. So i'm going to stay in your house because my house is a mess and yours is better. If you don't agree, too bad I'll just gather other stangers around your house and protest that you let me stay in your house.

I think I know the answer to this, want to see if anyone else does. In the 2008 presidential election, barring Dick Cheney running, we will have two candidates, neither of which are a sitting president or vice president. When was the last time this happened?

Now that Air America is finally going backrupt, does it seem idiotic that two former Air America founders are trying to start a new liberal network to compete with Air America? Come on! The reason liberal radio isn't working is because that territory is already covered by NPR. Jumping into an already saturated market seems rather stupid.

It seems that the Republicans learned somewhere down the road, that it didn't really matter how low or dishonest a campaign was run, the important thing was that you won. The Democrats seemed reluctant to really get ito it the same way, so you had, for instance, a Vietnam Veteran defending his war record against a "draft dodger", instead of just calling the kettle black.

Is there any value in taking the political "high-ground' and losing the race, or is it just stupid?

I don't understand why the president feels the need to build a fence. He says that it is to increase homeland security and decrease drug smuggling and immigration. I think this is total crap for the following reasons:
1. Drugs are going to find their way into the country regardless. All you need is a ladder.
2. Other than drugs do we really need to protect ourselfs from Mexico? What did they ever do to us? Canadian border next?
3. Why would you want to stop immigration? Immigrants do not really take jobs away from legit citizens. People always complain about it, but usually immigrants end up doing crappy low paying jobs that no one else wants.
4. A complete waiste of money, that could be used for lots of better things.
5. Blocking off rio grand from US citizens is rediculous
6. When we have helped tear down others' walls, what message does building walls send to the rest of the world?
