The words "abortion" and "privacy" are NOT anywhere in the Constitution or Declaration of Independence.
But the "right to life" is. :)

Cynical, it's easy to insult dead people, isn't it?
______
"HOW DOES A RIGHT TO LFE HAVE ASNYTHING TO DO WITH ABORTIONS?"
You're kidding me right?
Abortion is a procedure with results in the death of an unborn baby. That baby is entitled to have his/her life protected as a member of Homo Sapiens.

AMENDMENT XIX
Passed by Congress June 4, 1919. Ratified August 18, 1920.
The right of citizens of the United States to vote shall not be denied or abridged by the United States or by any State on account of sex.
Congress shall have power to enforce this article by appropriate legislation.
Roe v. Wade, 410 U.S. 113 (1973)[1], is a landmark United States Supreme Court decision establishing that most laws against abortion violate a constitutional right to privacy under the liberty clause of the Fourteenth Amendment, thus overturning all state and federal laws outlawing or restricting abortion that were inconsistent with the decision.

Roe v. Wade was a case in which the court decided that it was unconstitutional to prevent women from receiving an abortion. But that does not mean that abortion was guarunteed in the constitution. It was the opinion of the majority of those members of the supreme court that the constitution protected women from having the government decide whether they could do it or not.

What is in the Constitution is this; Amendment IV, The right of the people to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects, against unreasonable searches and seizures, shall not be violated, and no Warrants shall issue, but upon probable cause, supported by Oath or affirmation, and particularly describing the place to be searched, and the persons or things to be seized.
In case you missed it, THE RIGHT OF THE PEOPLE TO BE SECURE IN THEIR PERSONS.

Women's right to vote was the 19th ammendment to the constitution.
Roe vs Wade was a court case that determined that the constitution protects the right for a Woman to decide to terminate pregnancy.

Roe vs Wade is why abortions are legal, it has nothing to do with the constitution. By the way, Roe never had an abortion. She is now a pro-life activist. Check out her story on CNN http://www.cnn.com/SPECIALS/1998/roe.wade/stories/roe.profile/

kitty--really, the question was "Were abortion rights left out of the constitution..." meaning "were abortion rights intentionally left out of the constitution...etc." She is obviously saying that abortion WAS NOT in the Constitution. And because your reading comprehension skills are so poor, you've made a total fool of yourself over this.
I'm not going to continue in a battle of wits with someone so obviously unqualified.

No, it's not in the constitution and womens's rights isn't there either. It doesn't mean that is bad just that our forefathers ignored women when they were forming the country.

You're right; abortion isn't in the constitution. However the Constitution does say every American citizen has a right to life which unborn babies do have!
Thanks for providing this very enlightening question! I hope this makes the liberals rethink their position on killing babies.
