I have a very large, extremely winnable potential class action against a major American corporation. I don't want to deal with an attorney looking for a few bucks from me, because this is a legitimate actionable behavior on the corporation's part and I can't afford to mount a suit on my own. I'd need to find a class action attorney who is ethical, brave and competent (the defendent will have corporate resources) and innovative (someone who's stupid won't begin to grasp the technical intricacies of the case, let alone win it). Any reasonable, responsible suggestions?

Democratic politicians have been holding an M-16 at Bush, Cheney, and Rumsfield for some time. All the while, Bush and his cronies have been giving Dems more and more ammo to fire at them, but alas, the Dems have been afraid to pull the trigger and let them have it, for fear of neocon phrases like "cut and run", "defeatocrats", "unpatriotic", etc. Meanwhile, Bush never changed his "stay the course" attitude because it wasnt working, or because of all the people killed, it wasnt until Republicans started complaining to him that they were going to lose the mid-term elections if he didnt rethink the current strategy.
By the way, some Bush translations.....
"stay the course"----means "To change course is to admit I was wrong, and I will never do that no matter how many people get killed"
"changing tactics"---means "we are gonna get killed in the election if we don't at least SAY we are going to do something different".
Why dont the Dems stand up to the Republicans?

Plunging into Baja
Leading the charge south of the border, Southland buyers are snatching up bargain-priced retirement or second homes on the beach.
By Ann Brenoff, Times Staff Writer
October 22, 2006

THE trick to buying a home in Mexico, say those who have done it, is to not leave your brain at the border. The days of writing up deals on bar napkins and sealing them with a handshake and a shot of tequila are over — or should be, experts say.

That said, you can buy an oceanfront home in Baja for about one-third of what it would cost 30 minutes north of the border. And that alone was probably enough motivation for the 1.5 million Americans who own homes in Mexico today, according to estimates from the Mexico Assn. of Real Estate Professionals. The number is expected to jump to 12 million within 20 years as more baby boomers retire south of the border.

My daughter was arrested for a felony malicious wounding on another 14 year old girl. Both of the girls planned the fight (day, time, etc). During the fight my daughters necklace was ripped off and as it was falling she caught it in her hand, as she was looking to toss it to one of her friends, the other girl hit her so she hit her back in the nose. From that the other girl received a scratch on her nose and later her parents called the police. The officer called my daughters cell phone and assured her that she wasnt in any trouble and that he just wanted to get her side of the story. After he gained her trust and got her to say that she did hit the girl he arrested her. The only statements the officer got were from three girls, all of whom were involved in the fight and are all white. No other people were talked to regarding this so now I have a daughter who is an honor roll student facing up to 8 years incarcerated and all because of a scratch on the nose. Is this justice?

so far the answers are just plain stupid,if george bush wants the oil arn't you going to have to figure out exactly how he's going to get his hands on it.the war is for oil is all i ever hear yet nobody really knows how.just prove it,saying that he wants to control the future is just a little to back to the future for me.now if you were to tell me that we invaded iraq because that man threatened his daddies life or that he wanted to finish what his daddy started i would come closer to beleiving that

90-100 % of the problem in the middle east seems to be Israel's existance - The Arabs all hate them the Jews have lets face it moved into a very tough nieghborhood and are not liked .

So if Iran did either launch or sneak in a nuclear bomb and literally blew Israel off the map - would that stop the fighting ? Or would the Arabs turn on each other in the absence of the Jewish state?

And if they did manage to wipe Israel off the map what would be the world response after the fact ?

Would the world live with it and move on?

Would the world bomb the middle east out of existence risking the globes population ? Would there be any defenders of what used to be Israel ? Would there be any defenders of what used to be Iran and Iraq and so forth ?

What if ?

I saw a news brief on this submarine developed by the Swedish and can go completly undetected once submerged in the waters. We currently have one in San Diego where our military is trying to figure out how to detect this vessel. Can you imagine if this fell into the wrong hands? They would be able to go virtually anywhere without detection. AMAZING
