i have heard that some think that the money which is sent every year to Mex is a gift from USA , so i was wondering :

how much does an average American sends every year to Mex ( through legal activities ) ???

and

how many hours per week each average American did had to work to send this money ???

Two Israeli warplanes have fired on a German naval vessel patrolling off the Lebanese coast, the defence ministry in Berlin says.

"I can confirm that there was an incident," a ministry spokesman said on Wednesday. He declined to give further details as an investigation was under way.

The German naval force is charged with preventing weapons-smuggling and helping maintain a ceasefire between Israel and Hezbollah.

The Israeli overflights violate both the latest truce and the terms of Israel's earlier pullout.

Alberto Fernandez, director of public diplomacy in the State Department’s Bureau of Near Eastern Affairs, told al-Jazeera on October 22 that the world was “witnessing failure in Iraq.” “I think there is great room for strong criticism, because without doubt, there was arrogance and stupidity by the United States in Iraq,” said Fernandez.

Bush has tried to shrug off the bad news. Asked in mid-October about the rising U.S. casualty rate, Bush responded that this was because “we’re on the move...we’re taking action, we’re helping this young democracy succeed.”

But behind the scenes, the bipartisan Iraq Study Group--convened by Bush family fixer James Baker at Bush’s request--is preparing a report on alternative strategies. Though the report is due to be released after the November elections, leaks to the media suggest that Baker is preparing to “provide camouflage for changing direction,” according to analyst Steven Clemons.

U.S. officials claim that withdrawal would lead to a civil war, but the truth is that the U.S. presence is driving the violence and conflict in Iraq.

For the first time since the U.S. invasion of Iraq, active- duty members of the military are asking Members of Congress to end the U.S. occupation of Iraq & bring American soldiers home.
A few days ago it started with 65 troops. Today it has increased to over 200 troops. It looks as though there will be many more in days to come. They want to know why they are there? They want Congress to listen to them. They are dying, and they don't understand why.
Neither do millions of others. Does this make them unpatriotic? Or is this a legitimate concern, before they die. .
Under the Military Whistle-Blower Protection Act (DOD directive 7050.6), active-duty military, National Guard and Reservists can file and send a protected communication to a Member of Congress regarding any subject without reprisal.

And before you answer, I just want to say that because wars always were does not mean they should always be.

Let them sort out the bloody mess. Once they have, the remaining people in Iraq will welcome back the allied troops as liberators, and we can take it back. And the oil will still be there. Sheer genius.

I am fifteen years old and my boyfriend is 17 soon to be 18. He and my father have never gotten along, and lately my dad has been threatening to keep him away by getting a restraining order. My boyfriend has never, ever threatened me or my family in any way and I was wondering if it would still be possible for my dad to take legal action.
