We support a government that has little or no support from its people, and a country that is in a full state of civil war. If we all drove electric powered cars we and my nephew(killed over a year ago) would not be there.

Everything about this "war" is bu**sh**. Bush isn't happy with the way things are going, but he says he's not going to make any changes in the way the "war" is being handled. He also says he thinks Rumsfeld is doing a good job. Which makes no sense to me. A good job where? Bush says that what's happening in Iraq is part of the "War on Terror". How so? We wouldn't be in that struggle if the U.S. didn't invade Iraq in the first place. Duh. He must also think the entire country is stupid and will accept any lame excuse that comes out of his mealy mouth.

I don't know how he determines that we are "winning". What's the score? And all those soldiers killed or forever disfigured, for what? What a waste for them to give up their lives for something that has nothing to do with protecting our freedom or safety.

Bottom line is: If what we are doing in Iraq was truly a noble cause, we would succeed. But because the invasion of Iraq was based on "faulty information" and lies, we will never "win" in Iraq.

You can do something. Drive an electric car. It is not well known that electric vehicles are available, can do freeway speeds, look and handle like normal cars, and can even be bought for reasonable money (as little as $5000.) More information here:

These cars will save you money (over $100 per month in gas costs, for me), are good for the environment, and keep your money from going to the middle east.

that's military speak there, where fighting a "war on terror" which is personification, therefor leaving it for them to mutate into nice little terms. Note the lack of "war in Iraq/Afghanistan. They don't say that for a reason. Iraq is in a civil war.

Thats what i dont get about the war, were not really fighting anything because no one attacked us (9/11 was Al queada sp.) and were just killing millions of people for oil and to unstabilize the Middle East

Very good question. When you really pay attention to what Bush says and then connect the dots to everything he's said previously, it becomes quite apparent that he has no idea what he's doing. It's the blind leading the blind, i'm affraid to say.
