In 2006, ExxonMobile contributed 89% of their political contributions to Republicans. Chevron game 83% to Republicans. BP gave 70% to Republicans, and Shell has historically given 74% to Republicans.
The oil companies want to maintain low corporate tax rates, low investment gain taxes, free trade, low tariffs and gas taxes, but most of all they want to avoid a profit windfall tax -- which would tax oil companies for making too much money at a time when energy prices are rising.

Honey, you are really out of touch!!!!!!
Check the Democrat Politicians' stocks.
Check where the Democrats get their money.
They are involved with every big oil company in the nation.
The oil companies gave thousands to their good buddy, Bill Clinton.
So did other giant corporations.
YOU ARE NOT INFORMED. DO YOUR HOMEWORK.

why do you liberals always complain about oil,do you practice what you preach,do you live in a hut you built,do you hunt your own food,do you use leaves to cover your goodies,do you have moccasins on your feet made by the deer you hunted,do you walk everywhere you go,do you bathe in cold river,or lake water,if not then shut up because you are part of the so called problem liberals like to blame republicans for,so until you give up all your creature comforts, shut up!
