I would think he's speaking out because he knows his voice will be heard, and people need to hear what he has to say. It is a very powerful piece and one that every American should read. The truth is rarely presented so rawly and so beautifully at the same time. His pain is obvious - not only the pain of losing his brother, but the pain of what Bush has done to this great country. I salute him, absolutely.

quote Pat Tillman's brother speaking out against the Iraq War" One has absolutely nothing to do with the other, being Pat's brother in no way takes away is right to anything. He is entitled to his own opinion, his own occupation ("Kevin Tillman, a former Army Ranger" ), now that part is interesting, and he writes "Somehow, the more soldiers that die, the more legitimate the illegal invasion becomes," which is something that may be crossing the minds of a lot of us. Personally,,,, I think I will give the guy a thumbs up

I think the terrible grief of losing a friend and brother can make someone speak out irrationally against the truth because the pain of the tragedy clouds their vision. I know that there are far left news media that take advantage of these people who are having a hard time coping with their grief in their most vulnerable state, and they convince them to try to make things right by blaming the government or the politicians and making accusations. This kind of anger therapy may make them feel better but those who are using them for a political agenda should be ashamed of themselves. The problem here is there are a lot of ignorant people who listen to these things and form drastic opinions based on the assumption that if someone was in the military they must know what they are talking about so if they are saying negative things, they are to be believed, but that can not always be justified. So to form an opinion we must do a lot more than listen to just one side of the story. Whatever is said out of deep emotion is usually biased or distorted,
Poor Cindy Sheehan was used and exploited to the hilt by the far left propogandists like Michael Moore and the like. She was so grief stricken over the loss of her son that she lost all reason on the subject and became the puppet of the far left to try to destroy the Bush administration. Now she is making a career of it and gets paid by George Sores, Move on. Org. That is a sad situation for many reasons and she doesn't even realize what she is doing.

It is an election year and he is probably trying to remind people that our current government officials have a habit of hiding things from us. So perhaps he is trying to make a statement that we have a choice about if we want that to continue or stand up and make a change.

He's speaking the truth. He served in the Army rangers himself. I think he knows what he's talking about.

I don't know why, but I'm glad he did. That was very prophetic!
Maybe someone can arrange to have Michael J. Fox read that in his next commercial. Tell Fox to leave the meds at home.

Because HE FEELS that HE should have told his BROTHER NOT to join the military. HE JUST wants to blame SOMEONE ELSE for his mistake. JUST like LINDSAY SHEEHAN: She wants to make herself feel better, while in fact she could have told her son not to join the MILITARY.
