How come there is California, Baja California and Baja California Sur as three different states (separated by horizontal borders)? Did they ever form a single State/Country/Republic, or why is it that they all are called "California"?

The problem where I live at is that their is no heat, the boiler in the basement doesn't work and their is no hot water. I have to go to my grandmas house to take a shower. Now, I live in CT, this means that in November start to snow.Its October and it already cold. Any legal advise please let me know. A.S.A.P

Sure some are falsely accused of crimes but for the most part those that complain are the ones that are guilty of something. If your guilty of a crime dont expect the people that we pay to protect us to be nice to you.

If The University of Georgia showed up with an 80% or all white foot ball team don't you thing the federal goivernment and the NAACP would file suit against them as being racist?
Shouldn't the same be done when an all black college shows up with 90 to100% black team for a game?

I see numerous people on here making comments like for example, I saw this illegal drving an SUV and he was on welfare making all this money. I want to know how you juge someone as being illegal, is it because there of hispanic desent how do you people know their illegal? Do you ask to see their ID, green card ext? My soon to be ex is refusing to pay child support, alimony or do anything the court ordered. He motioned against the order and lost. My attorney said we had to give him two weeks. That will be Monday. In full the order was placed on Sept. 1. That is over a month and a half.
I tried to check on line and from what I gathered my ex can motion the show cause order. Very sickening if that is true. What are my chances of ever seeing a dime? We have little food and my little guy needs winter clothes. I need to get back to work and I dont have money for day care. Because of the court order and his income I can not get state aid for daycare. We are above the poverty level. He makes over $150,000 a year!! He claims only $23,000 on taxes!
Help with info please! I need to know the process of Show Cause hearings. Thank you.

I keep seeing questions about the U.S. putting sanctions on N.Korea or Iran, and I was just wondering exactly what that means? Sanctions are kind of like rules right? So, does this mean that the U.S. is giving them rules as far as their nuclear weapons go? If that's the case, how can they do that? Also, do Iran and N.Korea have to obey these sanctions? Does the U.S. have the right to impose them? If anyone could explain how the process works, i'd appreciate it, thanks.
