This has got to be one of the most ignorant questions I've ever read. First, misusing the word "Race" vs. "Nationality, "Ethnicity," or "Culture," shows lack of basic understanding.
You state that people are just following a cultural wave and are born into it? Assuming you are in the US, you might as well stop celebrating Independence Day, President's Day, Thanksgiving and whatever religious holiday you have been swept up with as you had nothing to do with it.
Pride in one's culture or culture of their ancestors has nothing to do with racism. Treating someone else with discrimination because they don't share your personal background does. So go ahead and light some fireworks, go on an Easter egg hunt and light the Menorah, just don't treat someone differently if they don't agree to do it with you.

First off sweetie, when you list a series of things black panthers, KKK, Noe Nazi..there should be comma's between them. If you don't put comma's you look like an idiot.
I don't think there is any thing wrong with being proud of who you are. My family came from Ireland in the 60's. We are very proud of our heritage. What's wrong with embracing where you came from and honoring those who came before you.
Race.........your race is individual. Individuality is dwindling in this day in time. Everyone wants to be like everyone else. And God forbid you "stand out".
And just because you take pride in who you are does not make you Hitler. Why don't you pick up a book or two on Hitler. It takes much more than being proud your a certain race to turn you into a crazy, murdering dictator.

La Raza just wants to kill Americans and take over that's why their group was founded. They have calmed down a bit but they still think the same. 20,000 Americans have been killed at the hands of illegal aliens. When is enough, enough?

"We have an aging white America ... They are dying ...We have got to eliminate the gringo, and what I mean by that is if the worst comes to the worst, we have got to kill him." Jose Angel Gutierrez, professor, University of Texas, Arlington and founder of the La Raza Unida political party

That's a good point, 'la raza' translates to 'the race', and they're not alone out there, either...everyone's convinced that they're 3 kinds of special because of their skin color, and they believe that because that's the particular brand of sunshine that's been blown up their ***...we're all bipeds, here, and the Big Fracas these days is about nationality, and illegal immigration, not ethnicity...
If you look at the numbers, it's enough to bend your brain...I read that in 1915, there were barely 100 million people in america...then in the late 60's, 200 million. Today they say there's 300 million...so, we've tripled our population in under 100 years. Meanwhile the REST of the planet added 5.5 billion to the rolls...and people out there are starving...

People can be proud of what they are...I mean the Irish, Italian and Polish are proud of their heritage. Why not Mexicans??? I also do not believe that la raza or "brownpride" ever advocated the lynching or killing of anyone or burning crosses like the KKK did.....big difference!!

It is so stupid to be "proud" of your race or color of your skin. People don't choose those things. People don't work hard to achieve an ethnicity. No one gets a degree in skin color.
I think it's silly to join a club so you can sit around talking about how great your skin color is.

Being proud is different than thinking you are better. I see alot of Mexicans that aren't proud of themselves, and I am sad for them. They try to pass themselves off as a heritage they are not. Be proud of your heritage, whatever it it might be, and who you are, but don't think you are better because you are from that heritage.
