Before I even read any of the responses, I see 4 thumbs down for a simple, fair, and unprovoking question. That tells me there are at least 4 ******** on here, maybe more. I'll be back.

Ladies and Gentlemen, We have a celebrity in the house. Jim W wants to expose his 'deep' thoughts. Jim, in case you didn't know, got involved in a Jerry Springer like confrontation with his buddies the Shiraz brothers yesterday. And Jim has some things that he'd like to say. OOOOOH the humanity, the Genuis, the vision to MAKE STUFF UP and in general talk out his a-s. Congrats

Nick F and stephanie are smoking the same pipe of denial.
Ok folks, the venture of Air America was started because liberals complained about not having a voice. They said there were so many liberal 'thinkers' that they would 'blow away' Rush, Hannity and others. FACT - They did not. They did not and are not making it because they were WRONG. Cmon libs, say it with me W-R-O-N-G. Now doesn't that feel better to be HONEST.

It is laughable isnt it? The liberal biased media claims the American people do not support Bush yet foxnews is always number one in the ratings and olberman and msnbc is always last. Air Americas bankruptcy was inevitable since Americans DO support Bush.

Filing bankruptcy--particularly in this day and age--is not necessarily a reflection on the success, failure or financial liquidity of a business. In the case of Air America, the BK is merely an unavoidable measure used to resolve a dispute with a long-time creditor.
Furthermore, the viability of a concept, perspective, or political philosophy is not measured by the number of people who buy into the ideals. History has proven that the road less traveled is often the righteous path.
Although I lean left, I am neither Conservative nor Liberal. However, during the last few months I have observed that the questions and answers posted on Yahoo Answers clearly prove that the Liberal argument is much more compelling than the Conservative one. Both sides take cheap shots. But the factual support and comprehensive answers offered by the Liberal viewpoint are much more convincing.

Air America actually doesn't have that bad of ratings for its main shows....They actually tend to finish very high in the ratings.
The problem was they did not have extensive amounts of on air talent, so alot of the non-prime programming leaves lots to be desired.
As a result, advertisers did not jump to the radio station as hoped.
But, this credit issue arose during the early stages of Air America, which has been sold and reorganized into a profitable radio station(which is why it remains on the air)

I don't know, but I don't know why most people or businesses file either...I am a liberal Democrat, and I have never listened to the channel, nor am I interested in listening. For me, the reason is I simply have no interest in talk radio. MUST I listen? I barely turn the radio on...I get my news from the internet and newspaper. What's wrong with that?

To Republicans...And I'll be nice about it... Why do you care so much about Air America? This is the second post I've seen today posed by someone who is not on the left. Air America restructured their programming and in my area, it is alive and well, as is the Jones Radio Network. Republicans always seem to forget that one and instead focus only on Air America...

Probably because they tried to censure their programing for PCness...can you imagine how boring it had become when nothing was broadcast that might offend anyone? Advertisers have an agenda too, and how many PC people want to pay to have their carpets cleaned with chemicals?...Let this be a lesson to the US about the inevitable consequences of multi-culturalism...

Maybe because they are non-conformists who do not need factually inaccurate radio telling them what to think?
9 times out 10 talk radio per se stinks.
And 'rushies',for example, are so misinformed you have to pity them.
