I wish I could make this short, but I need to prove my point if i'm accusing the head of Homeland Security of aiding terrorists, so please read on.

According to a June 20, 2000 article in the The Record of Bergen County, New Jersey, Chertoff successfuly defended accused terrorist financier Dr. Magdy Elamir,a man later suspected of financing the 911 attacks.

When Chertoff defended Elamir, he was already accused of terrorist financing and was a known Pakistani arms merchants who sought to arm Osama bin Laden with conventional and nuclear weapons.

As if that were'nt enough, After 9/11, as head of the Criminal Division of the U.S. Justice Department, There is evideence that Chertoff shielded Elamir from prosecution in his terrorist case.

U.S. Senate Majority Leader Bill Frist said Monday that the Afghan war against Taliban guerrillas can never be won militarily and urged support for efforts to bring "people who call themselves Taliban" and their allies into the government.
"You need to bring them into a more transparent type of government," Frist said. "And if that's accomplished, we'll be successful."

Umm.....didn't we invade Afghanistan to get rid of the Taliban? Why on earth should we allow the Taliban to be a part of the Afghan government when they were directly responsible for harboring and supporting a group that attacked America? How can the Iraq war critics be called traitors and enemy sypathizers by the Republicans when one their high profile leaders is in support of Taliban participation in the Afghan government?

"In a scandal that will likely take down the entire House Republican leadership, everyone is wondering why Rep. Mark Foley, Chairman of the Missing and Exploited Children's Caucus was allowed to carry on his predatory behavior with a teenage boy a year after his relationship was revealed to party leaders.

Is there anything these Republicans won't cover up? Duke Cunningham took millions of dollars in bribes. The people who were buying him off bought him a yacht called the Duke-Stir. He had a bribe menu on Congressional letter head. How many ethics investigations? Zero. Zilch. Nada.
Bob Ney took gifts and favors from Jack Abramoff. He has confessed and is about to go to prison. How many ethics investigations? Zero. None. Not one.

Then there is Hastert's shady land deal. Bill Frist's insider trading. Tom DeLay's money laundering. The list goes on. Every one of them had their *** covered by the rest of their Republican colleagues, crooks, whatever. http://www.alternet.org

There are imposters, stalkers, and foul mouthed screamers here. Do they really think that they are helping their side of the argument?

I realize we can't "just all get along" but why do some people take the argument so personally?

Over the past week I was frisked going into a :

NFL Football Game
Jury Duty at a County Courthouse
Book Sale in Washington DC

Lanes are divided for females and males and you assume the position of arms raised and legs spread while a same gender person goes up and down your body with the back of the hand.

I live nearly outside the Washington DC beltway. Is this commonplace in the rest of the nation? Does it bother anyone but me that we go through this?

"Frisk verb. quickly patting down the clothes of a possible criminal suspect to determine if there is a concealed weapon. This police action is generally considered legal (constitutional) without a search warrant. Generally it is preferred that women officers frisk women and men officers frisk men."

An adult bookstore employee in El Paso, Texas, sued the state after his arrest for showing two undercover officers a device shaped like a penis and telling the female officer the device would arouse and gratify her.
The employee, Ignacio Sergio Acosta, says a Texas law outlawing the manufacture, marketing or dissemination of an "obscene device" including those shaped like sex organs is unconstitutional because it prevents individuals from using such devices, violating their right to sexual privacy.
COME ON!!!!! what the heck is wrong with TEXAS? it wasn't as if they spammed the adam and eve catalog!!! they walked into a sex shop!!!!
