There are imposters, stalkers, and foul mouthed screamers here. Do they really think that they are helping their side of the argument?

I realize we can't "just all get along" but why do some people take the argument so personally?

Amen to that.

I think the reason some take issue - and some get genuinely rabid - is because no one takes the time to truly look at both sides of any issue any more.

It all seems to fall on either side of NeoCon or Liberal. Black or white - there's seems to be no middle ground here - no room for real discussion.

Especially frustrating is when someone cherry picks a report or statement, quotes it out of context, and then presents, based on this "proof", his opinion as the absolute fact.

It's really funny when you can simply look at a question and KNOW the writer is totally convinced that his opinions, convictions and conclusions are obviously brilliant - perhaps even bordering on genius. They alone, in their ultimate wisdom, have seen through the smoke and mirrors things that 200 plus million other "stupid" citizens just can't grasp.

Ignorance is bliss.

Some people will go out of their way to make a point. Others are so passionate about their beliefs that they strike ( insult, name call) while trying to make a point. Not much you can do there but at least try to get them to prove their point of view which causes even more problems.

What they need is a full time moderator ( will never happen) to keep people on the straight and narrow. Until then nothing is going to change so just do what you can to help.

I believe that poeple take it personally because they haven't really taken the time to see both sides. I think most of us act quickly and we let the anger or frustrastion rise before our common sense.
