Hell no....people want the dirt on their public officials, and they
don't care who dishes it. It would probably lose money if he tried
to write a book that paints the White House as peachydaisy,
with no problems.

Maybe, just maybe he can't be bought by the current administration. If he does fall to that temptation, that will in all likelyhood be his next project. And yes, he would make millions on the deal, from most members of the current administration, lobbyists, and the like who wish to pay him to be quiet.
If he resists too much, they may attempt to jail him for leaking "Top Secret" "Homeland Security" information and other info "They don't want the common folk to know. IMHO. I think his book took a lot of guts to publish. His timing is impeccable. I think it's great that there are others out there who are willing to lay it (truth) on the line, whatever the cost to themselves.
On a daily basis, we find more scandal from the White House.

Well, let's see....
If he wrote that all is fine in the White House, it would be a BIG lie.
A goodly number of the citizens in the US seem to thrive on lies, because they buy them hook, line and sinker.
So...they would buy a paper, magazine or book full of lies...
So, YES, he COULD make at least a dime .

Sure he would. First, he is an excellent writer and his books are very readable and well sourced.
Second, there are many writers making a good living writing nothing but positive things about this administration.
