Mexican President Vincente Fox declared the bill passed to erect a fence along the U.S./Mexico border shamefulf, and compared it to the Berlin wall that separated Germany in halves until the late 1990's.
Does President Fox not realize that the United States and Mexico are not, say, North United States and South United States? Personally, without the people to man the border, unless the fence goes 20 ft underground and is electrified, it won't do any thing but give illegal immigrants one more thing to climb. It's amusing that Clintons "sex" lies are historic and yet somehow ...the Current administration gets excluded or is viewed as being "more honest" or as "lying less" by the right half of our group (the shrinking, right half)...
a convenient lack of judgment? A willingness or need to win ...regardless?

Isn't lying, lying no matter what? And should we all be so willing to cut politicians partisan "slack" for the misuse of their position?

Let me make my case. I believe that universal healthcare is superior to that of a private healthcare system.

The United States is the only developed Western nation that doesn't have a universal healthcare service. The US also pays most for healthcare, and yet we have 45 million people uninsured and that number is growing. The United States is ranked far on the list of ranking by the United Nations, while places such as Canada or France, which have healthcare for all, are at the top. Also, it is a whole lot cheaper to have a universal healthcare system paid by taxes (http://cthealth.server101.com/universal_healthcare_is_cheaper.htm ).
I think it's time for some action.

"Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger ended the year's bill-signing period Saturday by vetoing a handful of key Democratic bills, including measures that would have allowed illegal immigrants to receive financial aid for college ..."

From his open letter last week saying that illegals shouldn't expect the state to pay for their college education when many legal Californians can't afford to send their own children to college, I kind of expected this. (They already get in state tuition in CA.) However, he has been bending so far left lately, I couldn't count on it.

If you don't know who he is look him up on Wikipedia but it seems that everyone agrees the world would be a better place without him so why is he allowed to continue breathing the same air aas the rest of us. There are few people in the world who truly deserve to die but this monster is one of them.
