I think it is a necessary evil. Here in the real world, there are liars, thieves and dictators. When another country threatens this country, I believe we must fight for it. I am an American and want to remain American. If any other country attempts to take this country, I will support the military (and war for our freedom) any way I can.

The rich always benefit from war, the poor always lose. Why do they always send the poor? You don't see many rich sons of beaurocrats in Washington as uncommisioned soldiers. The rich always go to officer school - the poor must stay on the front line and get killed. In the 19th century lord Byron went to Greece to fight the Turkish because he was BORED, as if he was interested in the cause.
There are very few justifiable wars (world war two WAS justifiable), and most of those that can be justified have hidden agendas. Generally I think ANY war that's about conquest and colonialism CANNOT be justified, and ones which force an agressor to leave the country can be. This is why the Iraq war and Vietnam were not justifiable - they were about regeime change, something which should not be done through war, and why world war 2 was, because Hitler invaded the rest of Europe. For the same reason this is why the 'insurgency' is justified in the eyes of many Iraqis, they are fighting the American agressors - resisting.

I detest it, but the fact is the main reason for war is to maintain and promote the capitalist economic system. The destruction that has been caused by recent bombing campaigns creates business for the mindless morons who created the war in the first place.
They create an enemy, feed the opposition with arms and a war develops ,they then inform the world that they are going to negotiate a peace settlement and before too long another war takes place at another location.
How do we stop it you may ask, well break the mould of British politics and don't vote for the three main London based parties in future elections. They all believe in a colonial policy of interfering with the autonomy of other countries and we pay dearly for it by being the most heavily taxed nation in Europe.
The government have placed an order for £6bn of armoured vehicles, who pays, and who receives the profit?

War is good and bad
Its good for nations to expand and make its self richer it also inspires patriotism and as long as both sides play by international rules thing will be less cost of human life
But if nations are to stubborn and don't admit that they have lost and sue for peace like France in wold war 1 war carries on courses more lose than needed.
If a nation sty's at peace they star getting lazy and people suffer because of this this is because governments don't want to help their country unless they are threatened.

War is just for furthering the agenda, those that start it seem to make a lot of money sitting in their mansions, eating caviar and quaffing vintage Champagne a long way back from the front line.
It is posturing by their puppet politicians, spouting rhetoric to convince us to fight on their behalf. It is for their greater good, not ours.
For us it is less freedom (look at all the restrictive legislation and curtailed freedom introduced in the latest `war on terror`) and/or a bullet in the head.
If anybody believes anything that their government tells them at face value, they are being very naive. People have got to start thinking for themselves...
...but that is why the education system has been progressively dumbed down isn`t it ?
Ho hum, business as usual for us plebs now that we are being dragged, seemingly willingly by the use of media propaganda, back to the 17th century.

When somebody slaps on your cheek, you may show the other one also. But when you get slapped again, if you remain passive, it is nothing but the peace that you see on a dead person's face. Sometimes to have defence you will have to do offence. Some wars are necessary to safeguard your country or your country's interest. Of course, war brings catastrophe too.

I don't know what the common view is.
But, I notice that the people who are usually against war are the same people who have fought in one, while the people who are in favour of it are the one's who call for sacrifices and "staying the course" while staying nice and safe at home and not making any sacrifices at all!

Nobody wants it , except would be conquerers and those must be stopped .
War has been with us since the beginning , if you have something of value , someone will be willing to take it away from you .
You have a choice , meekly submit , give them what they want or you can fight .
War used to be between nations.
Today , we have gangs of thugs making demands and trying to intimidate nations by acts of terror .
We have a choice , pay the blackmail , forever , or we can fight until we win .
