more deaths and absolute surrender of the opposition to the govt.
the UN needs to show some teeth on this issue.

the problem there is racial, not religious. Both sides in Darfur are muslims, the attackers are Arab in origin, the locals are Bantu. There is no wish from the attacking side to stop attacking, and they will keep the rape, murder and slavery campaign for as long as they wish. And moreover the Sudanese government helps them with guns and armed protection.
SFAIK the only solution is to end this armed protection. and that means armed. competent troops and air power, also training for the Darfur people so they can protect themselves.
Sorry, but force is the only thing that will work here. These same raiders used to attack the Christian tribes in the south, but once the christians gave them a bloody nose, they stopped attacking.

Unfortunately, the way things are going, combined with world apathy, Darfur will go down in infamy just as the Holocaust did. It's a shame, and the world should weep.

the Muslim militants will kill or evict all the non Muslim tribes in darfur.
The world will complain, a lot of aid will be given to the refugees, but the war will only end when the Muslims finally killed or evicted everybody.
