I mean wtf. All around you read about people killing each other. Fathers stabbing their hildren. Husbands stabbing their wives. Children being killed by the people that are supposed to protet them
Bush is the President. People are protesting being called violent....by being violent. What has gone wrong with this place!

Our excellent communications system alerts us to strange happenings all over the world. At one time if there were a tsunami in Indonesia we wouldn't hear about it for three months, now we get it in minutes, with film. We hear about the things that aren't normal, especially now that news programs take up the whole day and they need to fill up time with things that never would have made the nightly news when they only had an airtime of a half and hour. Human nature has been human nature and its not always been socially acceptable by anyones standards.
So its not that humanity is getting worse, its that the worst of humanity is getting publicity.

There has always been a lot of $#!+ going on in the world. I think that we are just being exposed to it more now because there are so many 24/7 news shows and channels competing for ratings, and the more sensational the stuff they air, the better they seem to do. No news is good news, but afwul news is great for the ratings! I now spend more of my time answering questions, in what I hope is a rational way, on this excellent web site, It has much helped my nerves and dispostion.

Well, it might have been a semi-interesting thought, if you hadn't thrown the usual Bush bashing into the mix. The world has been messed up for quite some time--and what do you really expect after decades of the ACLU fighting for the rights of criminals (under the guise of fighting for free speech), and what do you really expect after getting so far away from the roots of the founding fathers?

Before all this, we had the bloodless battle and the nuke drills in which they might train getting the children beneath their desks in case of a Russian nuclear assault!! People have never been "good." Read history. They are sinful and "no good thing comes from heart of man." Nothing new. Look at Roman Empire, Hitler, Attila the Hun.
