Because in his feeble, marble-sized brain, he hasn't screwed up. He's doing what God told him to do. And, when the oil is flowing and the money is flowing into the pockets of his Big Oil buddies, then he can say "mission accomplished" again. And, he won't have to admit he screwed up. The only problem is, that oil and money won't be flowing while he's in charge.

u know that bush has a reputation and if he would have confessed that he screwed up the iraq deal he loses it in the world and people will think of him as a negative guy

For him to fess up he would not only be admitting that he was mistaken but he would also be admitting that his Dad the former Bush president also messed up . NO way That is going to happen. Just get out and vote and lets change the mindset of our governing body.

He's in an awkward position.To admit to failure on such a massive scale would be incredibly humiliating. He has a lot of responsibility and people counting on his ability to see this through. Unfortunately, pride has a good deal to do with any kind of determination and he seems to have an endless supply of that.

Clinton didn't fess up-he lied again!!! He had the chance to deal with the attacks on our country and didn't cause he was in neck deep with Monica!! Our country was attacked 9/11- was the president suppose to send a form letter to the enemy telling them not to do it again that he didn't appreciate it? You better hope 2008 that we get a president in that the enemy respects and fears enough not to attack us again!!!
