The immigration website of the UK says I will need evidence to show proper living arrangements will be satisfied and I have parental consent. Does this mean I can just walk into the airport with print outs from the hostels i wish to say at and a letter of approval from mom?

It seems like Americans want national security, but as soon as they get stopped at the airport for a check, they get all pissy and agro. Why can't people realise that extra security is not transparent? There is a cost involved. When you get questioned at the border, or the airport, think to yourself, "This is the cost I am paying for extra security."

I am not saying that the govenment will be able to do anything they like (the Patriot Act is a horrible thing)...but there will probably be extra waiting and more security checkpoints...

9. All citizens of the State shall be equal as regards rights and duties.

10. The first duty of every citizen must be to work mentally or physically. The activities of the individual may not clash with the interests of the whole, but must proceed within the frame of the community and be for the general good.

Therefore we demand:

11. That all unearned income, and all income that does not arise from work, be abolished.

12. Since every war imposes on the people fearful sacrifices in life and property, all personal profit arising from the war must be regarded as a crime against the people. We therefore demand the total confiscation of all war profits whether in assets or material.

13. We demand the nationalization of businesses which have been organized into cartels.

14. We demand that all the profits from wholesale trade shall be shared out.

15. We demand extensive development of provision for old age.

16. We demand the creation and maintenance of a healthy middle-class, the immediate communalization of department stores which will be rented cheaply to small businessmen, and that preference shall be given to small businessmen for provision of supplies needed by the State, the provinces and municipalities.

17. We demand a land reform in accordance with our national requirements, and the enactment of a law to confiscate from the owners without compensation any land needed for the common purpose. The abolition of ground rents, and the prohibition of all speculation in land.

I'm curious about this, I've seen questions where there are reasoned, logical answers that receive lots of "thumbs up" but are nt chosen as "best" by the asker, while I find that questions left open to voting tend to have the most accurate answer selected more often. 40% of my answers were selected as "Best Answers," but I feel that'd been alot higher if they were all voted on.

But I'm curious as to what you all think about this?

I am currently writing a essay for my sociology class about how America has become fascist, or at the very least a corporatist where the companies are the actual rulers of this country. I honestly don't feel it matters what person or party you vote for (D or R) because the CEO's of the major companies are the real rulers "man behind the curtain."

House Approves Power for Warrantless Wiretaps

By ERIC LICHTBLAU

WASHINGTON, Sept. 28 — The House voted on Thursday to give the president the formal power to order wiretaps on Americans without a court order for 90 days, even as a federal judge in Detroit once again declared the administration’s program of wiretapping without warrants to be illegal.

The House approved the surveillance measure, 232 to 191, after rejecting efforts by Democrats and some Republicans to impose greater restrictions on the wiretapping authority.

Bin Laden ur time is short
Wed rather u die than come 2 court
Why are u hiding if it was in Gods name
Youre jus a punk with a turban a pathetic shame
I have a question about ur theory & laws
How *** u never die 4 the cause?
Is it because u're a coward who counts on others?
Well here in America we stand by our brothers
As is usual u failed in ur mission
If u expected pure chaos u can keep on wishin
We are now focused & stronger than ever
Ur death has become our next endeavor.
Wat u tried to kill doesnt live in our walls
Its not in buildings or shopping malls
If all of our structures came crashing down
It would still be there safe & sound.
Cuz pride & courage cant be destroyed
Even if the towers leave a deep void.
Well band together & fill the holes
Well bury our dead & bless their souls.
But then our energy will focus on u;
Youll feel the wrath of the Red White & Blue
So slither & hide like a snake in the grass
Becaus Americas going 2 kick ur *ss

Heralded Iraq Police Academy a 'Disaster'

Washington Post
2006-09-28

BAGHDAD, Sept. 27 -- A $75 million project to build the largest police academy in Iraq has been so grossly mismanaged that the campus now poses health risks to recruits and might need to be partially demolished, U.S. investigators have found.

The Baghdad Police College, hailed as crucial to U.S. efforts to prepare Iraqis to take control of the country's security, was so poorly constructed that feces and urine rained from the ceilings in student barracks. Floors heaved inches off the ground and cracked apart. Water dripped so profusely in one room that it was dubbed "the rain forest."

From what a lot of Christians like Pat Robertson, Ann Coulter and Fred Phelps are saying I figure there must be.
A Bible where you strong-arm your way into heaven and anyone who gets in your way you send straight to Hell? Where if a foreigner from another tribe commits a crime against your people you go in and wipe every last one of them off the face of the planet? Where anyone who doesn't agree with your wisdom and absolute rightness should be summarily executed? A Bible where God's son preaches hate and intolerance instead of all that sappy love sh*t?

Where Jesus says: "f*ck turning the other cheek, nuke the bastards."?

Gee, I missed that version. Can someone send me a copy? I like to keep up on those things.

For those of you who have experience with this, is there any advice you can give me? Is it very difficult to be married to a Marine? What about when we want to start a family?
