It seems like Americans want national security, but as soon as they get stopped at the airport for a check, they get all pissy and agro. Why can't people realise that extra security is not transparent? There is a cost involved. When you get questioned at the border, or the airport, think to yourself, "This is the cost I am paying for extra security."

I am not saying that the govenment will be able to do anything they like (the Patriot Act is a horrible thing)...but there will probably be extra waiting and more security checkpoints...

Sweet heart, I'm not a foreigner...I'm an American just like you. I was born at Portsmouth Naval Hospital in Virginia, I was an officer in the Coast Guard, I pay taxes, and I am working on a graduate degree...

Look, pal, I NEVER asked for national security, I don't really care at all about it. We get pissed off at you for asking the question because you insult us. Can't you get it through your thick head that people might not like being insulted by an ugly @$$ foreigner?

You are completely correct here. We are not willing to be inconvenienced to be protected. What is expected when many Americans do not even admit we are at war.

You make up for your question about $10 an hour gas.

Most of us do understand this. However we do have some people here that are so childish they can't get through the day without bashing our government or some other form of authority.

cause people today are so shallow, and the only thing that matters is what they see directly. They don't understand that it takes a lot of work to get things done right, they just care about the right here, right now.

Why can't you understand the the "extra security" is a ploy for the neocons to grab more power.
