I very concerned that this was apparently common knowledge...
I view myself as a Republican and am disgusted by what Foley has done and the apparent cover up involved...there should be an inquiry...damn, our children aren't even safe in the US Congress!

The church covers up for their priest. The Republicans are suppose to be God fearing Christians. Therefore, I conclude the answer is yes...the GOP protects pedophiles in their ranks!!

I think that pedophilia is a serious enough thing that when the speaker of the house knew about it, he should have done something. I think he has mistaken election year politics for the right thing to do.

If that is true, the ones who knew are accessories. If a child comes into the hospital and I suspect abuse and do not report, I can be prosecuted. Don't see why it is any different for them.
