I don't think we are at war like we had in the past.
Every day the terrorist kill so many other terrorists (some people call them innocents, like fools) us good guys are spending a lot of time picking up the dead bodies, from what I hear. But Just like, can we stop school shootings? No, not really!
Remember we are fighting individuals who belong to an organization. When we kill the organization, the individual has no support, no bombs, no IED's, and hopefully no reason.

The peaceful soluton to OBL terror is simple- the world must become muslim, and of his particular sect. Then, MAYBE, he will stop killing.
Therefore, sadly, war is simply the ONLY solution we have. And yes, if enough terrorists die, that will indeed stop terrorism.
The same mechanism ended piracy. Hang enough of them, and they stop attacking. Sad, but some people get no other argument.

well i personally believe that war is never a solution, but right now there's no other option. Asking them to "stop terrozing" simply isn't going to do anything, so i think war is one step towards stopping it, but it's not going to completely solve the issue.

Yes, we can stop terrorism.
Dispose of the secret services. The CIA/MI6/Mossad/ISI were between them responsible for 9/11,7/7,Madrid train bombing, Bali bombimg.Mumbai train bombing.Lockerbie air disaster, and many others - all blamed on Arabs or Muslims in order to keep people terrorised and prepared to give away their freedom in exchnage for ill-perceived security.
