My boyfriend wants to move to another state so he can get his license back but I told him if that CAN be done everybody would do that and people most likely thought of that and I bet the laws have shut that avenue down so can someone help me explain this to him??????

The average house has a TV, a phone, and soon a computer. The average person has no idea how these things work. What is happening? Shouldn't people who are so depandent on cars be able to know at least a little bit how they work? Or how a TV works? What happens if POOF! All the smart people are gone, and no one knows how to make these things anymore. What would we do? This computer I'm on right now, typing this question; I'll bet only about 10% know how to make one, or how it works. Does anyone know how to make a lightbulb? (Not how they work, because they are just a vacuum of glass with a filiment in it which lights up when a current is run through it; but how to make one? With glass and equipment and stuff). I don't know how my iPod works, or how my computer works, or how my car works, or how a rocket ship works. Shouldn't we at least know how our every-day items are doing what they do? Studies show that 86% of all houses have a refridgerator, and that only 14% know how they work.

Not only does the US support the Iraqi national army that is controled by the Iraqi Shia majority but the US also supports a Iraqi national govt. that is controled by the majority Iraqi Shia. How can the US possibly stop the sectarian violence in Iraq if they clearly take sides with the Iraqi Shia?

I know diffrent departments require diffrent things but I was wondering...

I got my vision test and my binocular vision (both eyes open) is 20/20. In each eye I am 20/20 left eye and 20/50 right eye. Does anyone know any good agencies that would except this vision. I am looking at my options because my enlistment is about up and I am wanting to get into Law Enforcement.

I read this from a site with information on the lottery:

"Each of one these six regions are divided into high and low admission quotas. A greater portion of the visas go to the low admission regions as opposed to high admission regions which will be entirely excluded from the lottery. (see list of countries which are not eligible). No single country may receive more than 7% of all allotted visas."

What are exactly the quotas for each country? I want to know what my actual odds are. Isn't there a list of all countries with their specific admission quotas anywhere?

Just want to see what some consensus says about this. Should a person convicted of first time DUI get shackled and sent to jail? I'm not whining, believe me, just wondering. When I got one I went to county for 45 days and couldn't be out of my cell without shackles.

The Venezuelan foreign minister was stopped at the airport, in a revenge response he says. I think he was simply an uncooperative potential passenger that shows up late for his plane and without a ticket--getting what any other suspicious and unruly person would get. Was that unreasonable for TSA to question his identity and want to search him?
