Bush’s Own Spy Agencies Say Iraq War Worsens Terrorism…

The Iraq war has contributed to an increased threat of terrorism, according to an intelligence assessment

The report found that the war has helped create a new generation of Islamic radicalism and that the overall terrorist threat has grown since the Sept. 11 attacks.

Previous drafts described actions by the United States government that were determined to have stoked the jihad movement, like the indefinite detention of prisoners at Guantánamo Bay and the Abu Ghraib prison abuse scandal

How come Republicans are thrilled with the
idea that they are breeding MORE terrorists?

Tell me your honest opinion. Tell me if Bush & Company, after impeachment, will be tried as war criminals for their part in allowing some American soldiers to kill, rape, and torture Iraqi civilians. Are they also responsible for the illegal occupation of Iraq?

We have 500,000 Arabs in the Detroit area and Mosque are going up all over the place. They ( Arabs ) tell me that in 25 years they will take over the USA by way of the vote. Also, 2,000 Arabs a week are coming into the Detroit area thanks to the USA government. Arabs must not be so bad because the Americans say "Come on in".

I am alleging nothing, casting no aspersions and nothing is implied.

Conspiracy theorists have weighed in on every monumental event in America's history, from the explosion of the USS Maine that lit the fuse of the Spanish-American war right up to the present day. My question surrounds two of these and an essay answer is required.

The theories: FDR knew Pearl Harbor was to be attacked. GWB knew the WTC was going to be attacked.

Let's assume these particular theories to be true.

What purpose did they serve? Note: We can rule out economics for the first theory, as we were already making blood money from the Lend/Lease act. We can rule out the same for the latter as the economy was strong when GWB took office, an admitted legacy of the Clinton administration.

Question: Would you have launched a pre-emptive strike against Japan?

If so, what is the difference between that action and the argument for the pre-emptive strikes occurring now in the middle east, under GWB?

My dad died a couple months ago, a few months before he died, he told my sister that he was leaving a trust for us kids and it would be split even between us, and also that is would take place 2-3 weeks after he died. He was a very organized person, with a great deal of wealth.
His wife does not like a couple of us, and we think she is doing nothing out of spite. Not returning phone calls etc. Is she required by law to get the will out and take care of the trust, and any other issues related to this?? Or are we at her mercy? Its a very frustrating issue for us. We know that there is an attorney out there that has info on our trust, but she will not give us the attorneys name. Thank you!

My nephew joined the Marines 20th July 06. Now his family state they will not vote for the Republicans because their son is now in danger. So this goes to show me how repuklicans think. As long as other sons die in the war they are all for the war. If their son is in danger they turn agaist their own party. Idiots!!

To be fair, he came into office with the odds stacked against him. His predecessor was a youthful, charismatic leader whose following seemed more like that of a rock star than a politician. And the nation was coming off years of peace and prosperity. In many respects, he had nowhere to go but down. Nonetheless, consider the following:He took office under circumstances that some consider suspicious, even treacherous. Many argue that he cynically used goodwill the nation bestowed upon him in the wake of national tragedy to lead us into an unpopular and unwinnable war.He expanded the scope of the federal government in ways no one could have foreseen, adding new roles for everything from education to Medicare, even as the cost of the war spiraled out of control. Many feel his final legacy will be one of bloated government and fiscal bankruptcy.Furthermore, his determination to do things his way, combined with disdain for detractors, has earned him a reputation for being petulant and insular. Not exactly traits we might hope for in a president.
