It has increased as the US has created more enemies by its attack, subsequent brutality and a war with daily casualties of civilians. The US can not solve the problem by force and eventually will go home as they did in Vietnam without solving a problem. Perhaps it is time to stay home and not meddle in others affairs!

I'd say it has increased but would have increased even more with state promoted terrorism if some middle east regimes believed they could get away with supporting terrorism with impunity. There was no way to stop it increasing after the spectacular success (from the terrorists point of view) of 9/11. Who knows what countries (Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, Jordan, Indonesia, Malaysia, Turkey) would have jumped on the bandwagon of acting as apologists for terror if they thought there were no possible consequences. Some situations are bound to get worse before they get better and there is no point in squealing about the pain, we just need to get on with confronting this problem.

Without a shadow of a doubt it has increased and it would be foolish to think otherwise. Did it really take the government's own think tank to tell us that the level of risk from terrorism has increased? My 6-year old could have told us that. "If you make your bed - sleep on it".

Accept for making them and their friends millions if not billions of dollars...all at americas expense and security.

Increased...we have created a "safe haven" for terrorism in Iraq. Sadaam apparently knew how to keep them in line....we haven't figured out how to.

Given that it didn't stop at 9/11, I'd say yes it has increased!
