Only if the public uses it I believe. I am sure this varies by state though.

I doubt that there is a specific law, it's probably just an issue of negligence. Unless you were trying to drive some oversized vehicle that obviously wouldn't fit, you probably have a very good legal cliam that the owner was negligent for failing to notify you...that is if you damaged your car.

I would think so, otherwise SUV drivers would forget to duck as they entered the garage and hurt their heads.
